Not really sure where to put it but I said on here yesterday I thought Ramsey was the loan player mentioned who had previously punished us. Seems somehow someone has pulled Isle Of Man from the most recent ITK and when you type it in you see the name Ramsey on the Island so looks like I might have been right.

Matt Law pushing this again

If we’re to believe that the club are after a player like Ramsey (or similar) then getting Dele’s 150k/week off the books is logical considering we know how the club works and it’s financial restrictions.

Not saying I think any of that is likely, but if a midfield signing became a priority it would likely be at the expense of Dele.

Think he'll stay, and still think he could have a really good season. IMO him and Lo Celso should be rotating based on who the opposition is, and he'd benefit from some better players around him in the side. If he does go, I think it'd be for a big chunk of change, I just cannot see who would swoop for him?

What re the other 8 players left behind??? This guy has a longstanding agenda against JM and just wants to cause him issues, he is a proper tosspot anyway

He has to play in the same side as a creative CM like GLC and Tanguy who can get him the ball further up the pitch. He’s asked to do too much when there is no creativity in midfielder [ie Everton]

The “massive wages” bit certainly points to Ramsey.

Honestly can’t think of anyone else.

Matic punished us in the FA Cup Semi Final when we played Chelsea few years back. He is another Mourinho type of signing

If we're being brutally honest here, he hasnt been anywhere near good enough now for a long time. We dont have the squad to carry players who turn up every 3-4 games if we're lucky. Im not endorsing his sale at all, theres a player in there i'd love for us to get back and theres plenty i'd move on before Dele but I suspect if he wasnt English, the opinions round here would be significantly more ruthless.

Would REALLY like him sold to be honest. Not a starter for me.

He peaked and has been found out with those early runs into the box, too one dimensional.

The worst thing is though he screws up our whole formation. 4231 needs to be binned for 433 but we have to play it with Alli in the side as he can't play wing or CM as his passing/playmaking, speed, long range shooting, dribbling and defending is so limited.

Yes he scores goals and seems a good bloke but if he doesn't score he actually hinders the team set-up in my view

Even if he’s not a starter, why does that mean that a young, talented guy with a great record should be sold? Surely that weakens our squad.

Several players ahead of him who we should ship out unless the manager specifically wants him out.

All depends on the deal and how we’d use it from my standpoint.

If selling Dele is an avenue to pay 50M for Vinícius, I don’t love it.

If it’s a way for is to spend 50M on a guy like Zakaria who would transform our midfield for years and truly unlock GLC and Tanguy, it feels a lot more reasonable.

It's funny that when Kane is starved of service it's the fault of the team not functioning but Alli doesn't get the same response. We can't expect him to perform until we get more on the front foot. He's still a quality player, did great when Jose arrived but struggled with his hamstring again. Selling him would be a huge mistake and we should only consider selling Aurier, Rose, CCV, Lamela and Sissoko (possibly Foyth). Everyone else needs to stay to keep the competition and depth we need.

I agree with you. He's got a great eye for goal we just need him to be doing more of his work around the box. Get the right players to support him and he will succeed, it's no coincidence he looked his best with a firing Eriksen.
