Also, we may have said "Kane's not being sold". So that means he'd probably be playing second fiddle. He'll start for Villa, who have a fairly exciting project going on.

Grealish off to City looking more and more likely.

Villa is gonna be cold next season. Bailey and Buendia are studs and Watkins and Ings are solid goalscorers. Ones to watch.

Suggests we’re serious about Vlahovic as he’s been the only other striker with strong links.
Well he has a medical tomorrow

Wouldn’t be at all surprised if Aston Villa make a very legitimate push at top 6.

With grealish, yes.

Without - not so convinced.

With Harry Winks, nailed on.

Yea they’ve smashed it.

But they have Watkins so why do they need ings? Wonder if they’ll move Watkins out to the left then.

Shows what you can do with big money then.

Grealish will def be off.

Hope city still have enough dosh for Kane

Theyve literally spent the grealish money already, if Ings is the reported 30M they have spent circa 85M-90M this summer already

Personally I think Grealish is a fantastic player but he’s not the type to drag you to success imo so I’m not sure how negative an impact losing him is going to have. An impact for sure but I still think they’ll push without him.

This is one of those out of nowhere signings and Villa look very good for next season even without Grealish if these signings click.

I must admit I wanted him as a proven PL goal scorer, I’m a little concerned we seem to be only chasing players from outside the league, all transfers are a gamble but being PL proven mitigates a little of that risk.

I love this transfer. Just brilliant that it’s quite literally dropped out of nowhere.

It came out of nowhere but really he was always available at that price. Maybe a case of "if we get an offer of 30m we'll deal , unless it's Spurs". It just needed someone to stump up the money. We probably would go to 20m but reluctant to go much higher.

Been impressed with Ings during his time at Southampton and certainly wouldn't have minded him as a forward option for us. However, think it's probably a combination of things which resulted in us not pushing for him. Can imagine he probably wasn't high up on Paratici's list and also doubt we'd match a £30m bid for a 29 year old in the last year of his contract.
