We needed to play the squad that's Pochettinho's philosophy. Wimmer N'koudou Vorm etc needed game time, we're still challenging for the league or cl positions the CL FC.

One things for sure we are definitely short of goal scorers imo...Chadli shouldn't of been sold.

Why bother playing Jansen, Wimmer, Davies, Dier, Trippier and put Wanyama and Lamela on the bench When you have Carroll and Onomah in midfield. Waste of everyones time.

Its like conceding the game before a ball is kicked. Pointless.

are you going to start a negative post every time we lose?
How is it the right decision if we lost the game?

The club's approach to squad management is absolutely appalling and it's been this way for most of the decade.

This whole approach had been an abject failure, playing weakend tournaments in the cup tournaments hasn't yielded any of the supposed benefits.

We have consistently collapsed in the latter stages of the league campaign, it happend during the Redknapp years and it happened last year.

And yet so many still want this approach, still think that it's a necessity, it is utterly bizarre.

but even fielding a strong team doesn't guarantee progression

One thing I don't understand is why we bring on 1st XI players for twenty minutes at the end when we are chasing a game as they are more likely to pick up a muscular injury.
Surely it makes more sense to start them after they've had a proper warm up pre kick off and withdraw them in the second half depending on the circumstances....

I see you, and I raise you with "We should have kept AVB".

It doesn't but at least we can say that we gave it our best, that the cup tournaments and silverware matter are a priority to us. We haven't won a trophy in nearly a decade, we've only won 2 in the PL era, we are in no postion to say which tournaments we will take seriously and which we will not. We have had 2 fabulous Spurs sides since this the start of this decade and have absolutely to show for it. And that in large part has been down to us, because we have actively chosen not too.

We rested the majority of our key players, and gave others crucial experience.

They can't keep playing two games a week with just the full backs rotating, we have to rest them at some point.

Right decision IMO.
Exactly- Vincent, Winks, Josh et al get to play at Anfield and nearly come through. That was the point of today's game and Poch's game time reactions confirmed that

Well, don't agree on Josh because I wanted another look. Totally agree on Carroll, what else does Poch need to see?

What disappointed me the most were poor performances from those like Dier' Davies and Trippier. Who are supposedly fighting for their places.

Yeah, the kids stank and we are lucky to have Vorm who did really well again. Otherwise it could have been a shoeing.

Thanks to the loyal fans. Bit cheated weren't they though.

Dortmund and this game we turned up to lose.

but both goals came from an error tonight, the 1st GKN slipping, and the 2nd = 2 errors, 1st Ben Davies not putting in any kind of cross, 1 too strong to reach Janssen and even too strong for Onamah, seconds later they are on the attack and Wimmer too slow to move up.

if we had fielded our strongest team tonight, who do we field v Leicester, BL and Arsenal? and if we had fielded our strongest team tonight, it wouldn't of guaranteed progression, which would of then meant facing Leicester who have had the week off, with either a weakend team or a tired team (with a stronger line up it could of gone to extra time)

the Dortmund game was just having the 2 wrong men in the middle, that game we should of fielded a much stronger team

I never said play our strongets 11. But if we cant muster 11 capable premier league players something is wrong. We turn over 200m a year. Get shot of the shit and bring in some decent deputy's

The Arsenal league cup game as well last year. This goes beyond Poch though it is been happening for years. What is baffling is that not is instances like Dortmund accepted they are also defended.

decent deputies would want a lot more game time than they would get, and Poch likes to work with a small squad. our trouble is we are not like those lucky ****s down the road and get the breaks on the draws, bar Poch's 1st season. if we had been in the Europa i reckon we would of fielded a stronger team tonight (yes i know we never v Arscum last season, but nor did they and unlike tonight we should of won that game).

we need to give players like CCV, Winks and Onamah game time v strong opposition to find out if they can make the step up, now they will have to wait for he chance to either come on due to injuries or wait for a lucky draw in the FA Cup.

we started quite positively and until the slip that lead to the goal i thought we looked ok, once they scored they then became very dangerous and thanks to Vorm (who could of done better with the goal) we wasn't embarressed
