He does the extra inch fighting cock podcast talking about tactics. Does some other football writing.

Normally a sensible voice of reason when it comes to spurs.
Okay, well it's all points of view and one a few have offered on here too.

Results based (winning) football (possibly) Vs. ...

I guess that'll be the stick Jose will get beaten with if it doesn't turn out the way people want.

Don't get it twisted, this decision is as much to do with Emery being under pressure as well... There are only so many top managers available....

Some people are acting like we’ve appointed Graham. I love Poch he did wonders with us. However he showed his flaws this past season and also the wasn’t that good at player recruitment. Jose is a winner and has probably the highest stock and honours of any manager who has come to be employed by us. Some people are acting like he’s the man in a raincoat, but their pedigree couldn’t be any more different. You have either been too focused and myopic on spurs if you can’t see what he’s done.

Whatever the question I’m fairly sure the answer isn’t José Mourinho. Happy to be proven wrong :(

Will be very interesting to see who does well with Jose. It will certainly be an interesting couple of years.

My onions...... we will win the FA Cup this season and it will all end in tears in 2021.

Anyone running a book on him reaching the end of his contract? Three years is usually the extreme for him before the wheels fall off, with Poch it took four years. I do begin to wonder if this is inevitable that things become stale after a few years especially if the team isn't continuously refreshed with new players. People think Ferguson was there for over twenty years but forget that he changed his coaching staff every few years so maybe he understood it.
That being the case I guess this is all inevitable but I am still sad.

He cannot have a sensible voice of reason when it comes to spurs if he believed that getting an inspired Mourinho over a tired and run out of ideas Poch, is a bad thing

The irony of Poch's demise is that Levy asked him to get us close to the CL as we moved into the new stadium..
Poch did it the other way round and delivered before and now the stadium is here we look miles away.

I wonder what happened behind the scenes here. Alot of people calling for heads to roll but never stop and think for a second that maybe, just maybe, Pochettino put himself in such a position that he had to go, there was no middle ground. Our official statement points towards poor domestical form but in reality, is it possible the issue was bigger than that? It's been obvious that something isn't well, players looking flat out bored, jogging around hoping to get results with minimal effort. Pochettinos greatest feature has always been his ability to motivate, get the team 100% behind his philosophy and work non-stop from start to finish. If he lost that ability is there really alot we could have done about it? We can't replace 7-8 players in our starting eleven just to back the manager, possibly even causing other players to lose faith making us replace even more, we're talking about a 5+ years of rebuilding the team then, unless new incomings start losing faith a couple of years down the road.

I'm not saying that I love what has happend but we have to stop for a minute and think, is Pochettino really without blame? Is there a possibilty that Levy had his hand forced, that there was no other way out? I would love to know the full story here but we as fans rarely get to. What we need to do is to actually get behind the club and José Mourinho no matter if we agree with the appointment or not.
