Just saw this on twitter. Not going to be there myself but sounds brilliant to me.

RIP 'Tom'.

But. I don't want to be a dick. But ... who is this guy exactly?

Well at the bare minimum a fan who was going to travel the country to follow the mighty Tottenham Hotspur!

RIP
Was he? So who is Michael then?

My point is this is a poorly pasted graphic off Twitter. We know it's genuine?

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that it's genuine. Which makes it a possible fake. The cynic in me suggests a bet in a pub. If it is genuine there's no harm in asking for more info. Tis' the times we live in unfortunately.

RIP Tom - at such a young age too.

Recently lost a Spurs-supporting friend myself recently (Spurticus on SC) in his early forties.

Certainly makes you think about your own life and health

RIP Spurticus. No harm in a minutes applause for any fan we've lost along the way.

This is a lovely gesture for a fan who's has passed away at a young age.

I did read somewhere that the City fans were planning a minutes applause in something like the 74th minute in respect of Alan Henning. If both can happen in the same game without 1 taking the shine off the other (so to speak) then great :)

I have seen this posted around various forums but not here.

Please take part in this if you are going, I didn't know the lad but think it's a lovely thing to do for a fellow Tottenham supporter.

It would help if @punky gave us the twitter source.

For those that are not sure if this is fake or not, I had a reply from this Michael after responding on Twitter, I am sure it is genuine but if it isn't then lets clap on 24 mins anyway, it might be one of only a few opportunities to do so!!!!

@HotspurTickets originally but as others have said, it is everywhere now.

Could be a wind up but on the balance of probabilities, I don't think it is.
it would be outrageous if it was a wind up. You would wonder what would motivate someone to do that.
