We should be all over Bony, and really cant understand why we arent. Scoring tons of goals, big like Benteke and will attack and score those crosses/set pieces, will help on defensive set pieces and fairly cheap compared to Benteke.

I have not seen Bony play, but there might be concerns he's the Ivory Coast Darren Bent?,.... :cautious:

His value must be low for some reason... just sayin'

Mate he's got all the tools. Laudrup wants him for a reason, just look at Michu & what Laudrup spotted in him.

He apparently lacks pace though which means he may not suit the fast tempo of the premier league? Hes a good striker though no doubt!

Lacks pace? I wouldn't say that at all. Not that pace is needed when your positioning, movement & strength is as good as his is..

Oh Teddy Teddy .. He could still probably do as good a job as our current strikers. As for Bony, with the movement he has, and the brain of David Villa alongside him, with the added bonus of Bale on the other side of him, it'd be a beautiful sight to behold, in my opinion. Yet in true THFC style, we'll let Swansea sign him for £13m, then declare an interest when he's worth double that next summer!!

Personally I think Villa (When he comes ;)) will be the main striker! Hes not going to want to play out wide plus I imagine they'll of told him in discussions hes going to play up top not out wide! Bentekes a beast but Bony is a cheaper option!

I personally don't think either of the front 3 (assuming we're going to switch to that) will have a set position. I reckon they'll be encouraged to constantly swap & change, pull defenders all over the place & either create space for eachother, or for the advancing Paulinho & Dembele bombing up in support.

Same but thats why I wanted someone like PEA hes got all the tools big quick scores and he can do a job out wide too! Someone like Soldado however isn't as interchangeable in a fluid front 3! I'd still like Soldado though hes great :D

Doumbia is THE boy. Power, Deadly finishing ability, good in the air (despite only being about 5ft 10"), and probably the only striker in the world who would be able to keep up with, and be on the end of a Walker, Lennon, Bale counter attack. Just my personal opinion but I think he's perfect for us.

Well my wishlist of players was Paulinho, Villa, PEA or Lamela, Pjanic and Luke Shaw! Atleast we have 1 so far :)

And 2 that can be ruled out (PEA & Shaw), so that list is getting shorter mate :nailbiting:
Whys Shaw ruled out? Yeah the lists getting shorter but if we got Pjanic and Villa then maybe another forward I think were in business! We still need a creative player thats why I want Pjanic!

Shaw is supposedly about to snub interest from us & Chel$ki and sign a 5 year contract when he turns 18 next week.. I'm not sure we'll be spending £20m+ on Pjanic? As others have said earlier in this thread, Keisuke Honda would be as good a choice, yet cost no more than a few million, maximum.

We don't need to buy more midfielders. Our starting midfield next season will "probably" be Sandro-Paulinho-Dembele so if we buy another midfielder, a great player from these 3 will be left out. As for creativity we could always rotate Holtby once in a while. I strongly specify the need for 2 reliable strikers (Villa and Benteke/Soldado). If we do so, we could be in for one hell of a season ! COYS !!

True but Pjanic is who I want and its my wishlist :) Honda is a great player though. I do have a backup list of Leandro Damiao, soldado, Honda and cissokho (the lb)

I agree but as much as I think Dembele is a great player hes capable of more. I like him though and without his last season we lacked ideas!

What happened to Cissokho? We were linked with him for ages, as were other clubs too. Then he just seemed to vanish off the radar.

We love to speculate about the latest young superstars with sexy foreign names joining us and the the temptation is always to look abroad at young players who the whole world and it's mother are chasing, but for me, the answer (or at least an answer...) would be to take a look at someone like Jordan Rhodes from Blackburn.

That boy is all about goals goals and more goals (look at his stats over the last few seasons). He's been learning his trade at Huddersfield and now Blackburn and has contributed something like 70 goals over the last few seasons, and at the age of only 22 or 23, is a full international. We could probably pick him up for around £8-10 million and he'd be just the type of signing Levy would happily sanction. His sell on value would be much higher in a few season's time.

My point is, that by signing a young player from the second tier of football and bringing him into the fold, he's far more likely to show a degree of loyalty to us, and not be swayed by any so-called 'bigger clubs' wanting to take him off us in a few years. I don't think I could say that for some of these freign boys, who only see ££££ signs.

OK. Shoot me down if you like, but that's my opinion (put's tin hat on...)
