600 to alicante (4 hour drive from Madrid) from 31st to 1st. Plus car hire plus a hotel about an hour out of madrid. ridiculous. and i renewed my season ticket earlier this month.

Can you spare me 10p anyone?

Ouchhh.

I wouldn’t begrudge the money if we were guaranteed to win, but if I shell out over a grand and the fucking dippers dibble all over us...

Oh i expect salah to dive his way to a 2 0 win and the scousers to start celebrating on 80 minutes. Liverfilth are by far my most hated team and have been for years. It's gonna be the worst grand i ever spent.

But i have to go. Could be once in a lifetime and I'm 'only' 32.

Unsure how good Salah is with VAR tbh.

There’s no team aside from Arsenal I’d less like to face in a final, not least the CL. However beating them would be delicious.

Fucking HELL. I’d rather fly a week earlier for £100 and have a week in Madrid!

I had a premonition on 1st March that we would get to the final. I’ve still got a screenshot on my phone with £60 Ryanair flights. I wanted to go for the weekend regardless but my partner didn’t want to be stuck in Madrid surrounded by football fans!! Expensive mistake. Side note. I haven’t had a Spurs shirt since 1981 but said after the Dortmund game I’d get a Sissoko one if we got to Madrid. Can’t believe I’ll be getting it for Sunday

I wouldn't even bother with a hotel for a Saturday night in Madrid. No one sleeps in Madrid on Saturday night.

I did fly into Valencia early Saturday morning, train to Madrid for 2pm, train Monday morning to Coruna, flight from Coruna to Heathrow, £200.

I just quietly mentioned to my other half it would be cool to go to Madrid for the final for the experience, even if it means taking several trains through France, to test the water.

He said “you should go, if you don’t you’re a fucking twat”

So I think I’m allowed to go on an adventure

I’ll be in Montreal at a mates bachelor party but a few tips i could think of for those that can make it: fly to barca and take a train to Madrid. Connect in Germany or something but book rt’s london-germany-london and Germany-Madrid-Germany. Probably going to be alot cheaper that way and likely more availability since the scousers booked up all the direct from England.

Also try to see if people can connect through another airport. Flying to an island first or Portugal first often saves you a lot of money.

Trains ain't cheap in Spain but Valencia is very well connected with high speed rail and is an option too.

Also Barcelona is a real easy connection. It will be cheaper to by two separate flights not through a code share or whatever..
