I've had a look at flights from Paris direct to Madrid. Takes 2 hours approx. Lots listed from the Friday to Monday weekend of the final.

Cost about £350-400 return.

Looked at Eurostar London to Paris, again about 2 hours, plenty of time options and cost in and around £100 mark.

I did actually manage to find a train and flight that would get you to Madrid for the final travelling on the Saturday and bring you back Sunday morning.

Good luck guys which ever way, just maybe another option to consider. (y)

Booked up in the early hours of this morning. Fly out Friday 31st, return Sunday 2nd. And then flying out to Portugal on the 4th for the Nations League semi final and final.

Business class as it was cheaper than economy.
Hotel sorted as well.

This is not a cheap trip. Would have been even more expensive had BA not kindly refunded me the incorrect flight I booked last night :)

That's a good shout. I can get a train direct to the tunnel from Ebbsfleet.
Just found flights from Paris to Madrid and back and a hotel on Expedia for £993

£183 for eurostar to Paris

Lads, consider flying to one of the North European hubs like Copenhagen or Stockholm and go from there.....

This! Try puzzling a trip through another hub by yourselves, tend to be much cheaper than the ones listed on most websites.

The morning after as the Joshua fight is on as well, train again ?
Based on the Ajax home leg, 8 pints of Peroni, I would be comatose in a gutter somewhere.
I was on holiday for it last week. I vaguely recall the match ending. Then I woke up in my villa face down dribbling and had no recollection of getting home.

I’m flying into Valencia Friday night, train to Madrid Saturday morning, hotel in Madrid Saturday night then train back to Valencia and fly out on Sunday to london.

The only bit I can’t cancel if I don’t get a match ticket is the Madrid hotel. The most expensive bit obviously.

Has anyone looked into the cost of a charter flight?
They run when you want them to. If they take 15-25 people the cost might not be bad. If they fly direct then you could arrange the homeward flight a few hours after the game to save the hotel cost.

Further investigating for me has led to Glasgow to Malaga Friday then back Sunday night. £450 return pp. 3 hour train to Madrid. Stay Malaga Friday night to cut accommodation cost.

So close to doing it

I can't be certain as I've never done it, but I suspect you're massively underestimating how much that would cost. Just had a quick gander out of interest and you're looking at something like 8 grand an hour for a plane that would fit 20 people. For arguments sake you had to book it for 12 hours that would be nearly 5 grand per person. And I assume there's extra charges on top of that like runway fees depending on which airport you land at etc. too.

Here's my travel arrangements: I will be driving from Kentucky to Colorado, a 16 hour 1000 mile drive. No watching some dodgy stream on TV, only following text updates on my phone when I have a decent cell signal

Fuck. My. Life.
