Yeh particularly as all season one of our biggest weaknesses was getting the ball up the pitch.

I guess that's also the fear with Wilson, he isn't really going to be a vocal point. However, he might help make space for Kane, alow him to drop deeper and cause damage that way.
In fairness I thought Kane was pretty poor at winning aerial duels. Was really only good when he could come deep and get onto the ball and use his hold up play.

I think with Wilson teams may respect the pace more and be less willing to have their CBs step up on him.

We've had (allegedly) a bunch of players at our Training Ground and haven't signed them. Levy must charge them a tour fee or something.

He might be if he can sing?

Bournemouth would have made almost 60M off selling two players. I think we have to act quick before we get a situation where they feel comfortable to ask for a high price for the likes of Wilson. Don't want another Schneiderlin/Rodriguez situation where we left it too late that the club having sold others don't want/need to sell.

I think with Wilson the issue is that his wages are unsustainable for them in the Championship.

Also looks like Henderson won't being going back to Sheffield Utd next season.

I expect Man Utd to loan him out again somehwere. Sheffield flew too close to the sun this year and ended up actually competing with them. They wont do that one again. Only if they were selling would they do that which you’d think they would try to milk Chelsea for all there worth in that case.

I wouldn't be surprised if solskjaer said to both Henderson and De gea that no one at the moment is first choice gk and it's up to them to prove to him they should be given the no 1 shirt.

If we can get him at a similar-ish price, I'd go for Edouard from Celtic. The downside would be that it might be a matter of waiting till later in the window and hoping they're not in the Champions League so there's a bit more pressure on them to sell. But he's younger and in my opinion a more talented player
He's French and I think that's a factor at the moment, Wilson = Home grown = reasonable so leaving a bit of money and a space for a foreign player and if that player addresses a starting place all well and good. I believe this is the thinking at the club right now.

I don’t watch a lot of the Bundesliga so don’t know much about him - no idea if he’s good or how he compares with Wilson.

One year left on his contract though

Some of the ITK did say we wouldnt sign a back up to Kane but rather somebody who he could play with. The contract situation makes it seem plausible.

Really good player. Can play anywhere across the frontline, is a clinical finisher. He carried a rather poor Mainz side this season. I always approve of signing Bundesliga players, the league is very similar to the prem. Look at Bayern (they’re always good tho) and especially Leipzig in the CL. I think he also is in the last year of his contract too.
Edit: you already mentioned the contract

Never heard of him until today, but after a brief look at some you tube clips he looks strong, with decent base, some tidy footwork and the ability to pick a forward pass. It’s a yes from me!

He’s got a hell of shot on him. Decent pace, strength and very good finishing.

Check out his 3rd, 4th and the goal near the end.

If we are intent on a sort of hybrid 4-3-3/4-4-2 system, we could realistically add both Quaison and Wilson, given their presumed affordability and Quaison's versatility. Not sure if it would necessarily need to be one or the other. Add in to this the rumored openness to selling Lamela, we could realistically bring Quaison in to take his spot at potentially a very little financial outlay.

Quaison would be a smart purchase.

I prefer him over Wilson... younger, good all round attributes, better injury record and given his contract status he could be up to half the price of Wilson. I know he’s not English but if we bring in a homegrown player for a different position it wouldn’t be an issue.
