Do you believe in the board tho to back him sufficiently ? Because I certainly don’t.

He needs MAJOUR backing, I don’t think some realise how much we need.
I do, within reason though, we are never going to go out and spend millions on the best players. But i truly believe we know that that we are at a crossroads and lack of investment will devalue us

That was only our second loss at Burnley in the last decade in all competitions
And how many times have they ground out nil nils or low scoring draws. That’s just the way they are.

People shouldn’t be hanging their hopes on Burnley away.

This isn’t the end of the world, and it’s certainly not the end of our season.

Most of what you said isn't correct. Sess wasn't the issue today. We fought and competed perfectly well, had the lion's share of possession and attempts on goal. We lost because of Romero's mistake and a tepid first half.
I think Sess clearly was one of the issues, not THE issue, but one of them. I can't remember a single cross or decent ball into the box, I can't even remember him even attempting one to be honest. He looks scared and insecure. He is not of the required standard as is. Same can be said about a handfull of the players featuring today so the result is obviously not only his fault. But the problem isn't one player, it's the general standard of the squad.

I’ve said for a while I think we’re desperate for a proper sports psychology program at Tottenham. There’s very clear, glaring deficiencies in terms of confidence, attitude and focus and has been for a long, long time.

Paratici is meant to be bringing this in.

4 defeats out if 5, we haven't won a PL game in "normal time" since boxing day.

Conte isn't the problem but this team is broken completely.
he might not be the problem, but keep playing the same formation against every team we should "control" he sure deserves some criticism for not changing it up

PEH frustrated me tonight. He is unable to play on the turn so he passes backwards or sideways more often than not if facing towards his own goal. Winks fucks me off too but he is more comfortable collecting the ball than PEH. It just shows to me that we are still a player or 2 short in the middle.

The issue isn't tonight's result, it was the 2 pathetic defeats to Saints and Wolves. The defeats to those 2 put alot of pressure on tonight and we failed. Leeds is must win, no if's no but's

out of curiosity, was bentancur injured? (He asked for a third time!!! ?)

He slipped and overstretched din the first half - doing a twisted splits. He looked in pain and carried on. Went off at half time. So I imagine so. So now our midfield is completely screwed.

I didn't say he was the issue. It was an observation about his performance. He was useless and has been useless every time I have watched him. The guy looks forlorn every time he is subbed because he knows he is having no impact in games. Conte even mentioned his confidence in the presser.

I’m not sure Jesus Christ could get us right to be honest, he can turn water into wine and part the Red Sea but turn spurs into a trophy winning team? He has his limitations
I think Moses parted the red sea. Is he the assistant coach? ?

When you play back3, the wingbacks have to be threatening. If they show cowardice on ball and dont take on opponent, back3 becomes back5 and we are on back foot all game. Thats exactly what happened today.

Game was lost in the wingback area but we were far too late to change it up

We should have gone back to flat back 4, replacing Sessegnon with Bergwijn. Big learning curve also for Conte

Leeds have just lost 6 nil. I’m not panicking but if we can’t beat them on Sunday then even I’m going to start to get nervous about how things will pan out. Even a draw tonight would have been acceptable.

I think its important to remember that this is a team who had a week to prepare for the City game.

A team who play a high line and leave spaces.

We've had almost zero prep for this game, against a team who play a totally different way.

All you can do for games like today is make slight tactical adjustments. But that's where Conte has his hands tied cause our options are limited. Ideally you want a more attacking wing back and take Hojbjerg out for someone who can carry the ball, we don't have that right now.

It's a shame we had so many games called off because I think playing every 3 or 4 days is going to stretch our limitations.

I think United will get top4 now.

To be honest, I don't really care. As long as the summer goes exactly to plan and Conte's liking then I'll be happy.
I totally get this point of view and tend to agree.
however- there isn’t a finite period of time where Kane sits back and sacrifices his career for “the big rebuild”

Just to be clear: lose Kane (and son fwiw) and this club is mid table at best

So this summer will force us into acting in a way that we have never acted before: spend both big and smart.
there is no room for failure.
it feels like every transfer has to pay off, because we are so painfully inconsistent, and our squad is so fragile.
I’m looking forwards to it but in the interim I’d like to see us be a flat rack bully at least.

Are we honestly even ready for CL football?? No. I don't think we are, even with a decent summer, I think we need to focus on the league.

In all honesty, as much as I want CL football again, I really want to see a stable and consistent team in the league and Conte will need time on the training pitch and with the new signings.

Don't think either of Arsenal or WH are ready for it either to be honest. Some pretty shite teams competing for it.

Did you listen to Conte's interview YESTERDAY?

Or any he's given since he's been here?

PATIENCE.

I expect him to want to turn this around and build something serious. If he's not backed, of course it'll get rough but I don't see that happening. He was praising FP, yesterday.

This constant fear amongst our fans is pissing me off. Sorry
As long as Conte is backed we will be absolutely fine. When you think of it like that, it doesn't matter so much where we finish.

Sure, if mid July rolls around and we still haven't done a bloody thing then i'll be the first shitting myself with the pitchfork out.

I even said it when he arrived, that we won't be good until the season after.
