Said this in another thread but I think we have a real issue of how we value players. We just don’t seem to be willing to spend like other teams. That’s fine, but it’s only going to take us so far. After lasts season’s success in the CL, the new stadium, the bumper new sponsorship, this is the window we should be spending, but more and more it looks like Sessegnon, if anyone will be our only addition. It’s a real concern, as other teams are not standing still
Bloody arsenal have spent almost twice as much as us and we were the Champions league finalists and made top 4. How the hell does that even work?

Totally believe we will do the following before the window shuts:

In:
Sessegnon and Fernandes

Out:
CCV --> Championship club
Onomah --> Fulham
Eriksen --> United (HUGE *fartnoise*)

And, I'll struggle to see how we improved at all. Ndombele's a huge "get" here, but we just needed more. Sessegnon could be immense for us in a year or two, but Fernandes replicating what Eriksen offered from a creativity standpoint is highly (highly) unlikely. And, while Ndombele offers some more creativity and incisiveness from a deeper midfield position, I think he may take a little longer to adjust than many are willing to allow.

And Ndombele basically replaces Dembele who was still with us 12 months ago.

Totally standing still.

Thought I'd add to the positive atmosphere that's on this forum right now

Jorge Mendes in Manchester to secure proposal by Bruno Fernandes
Meeting was held with representatives of United.

Jorge Mendes met this Monday in Manchester with United representatives to secure a € 70 million bid by Bruno Fernandes.

If Eriksen really is off to United, I doubt they will go for BF. Imagine the scenes if they secured both. :LOL::LOL:

CdM is one of the worst outlets there is. One quick search and I can see they've claimed united have made offers for him about 6 times (they haven't) and that he wouldn't feature in a couple different preseason friendlies (he did)

Yep, you're right. Very much a gossip column.

No reports on O Jogo, RTP or Record and Goncalo hasn't said anything yet either. They'd be reporting it if true

Them and A Bola are genuinely the two worst outlets I've ever come across, and that includes the Express and all Italian outlets.

Don’t sporting want to sell and Bruno wants to leave, they must know that England is where the money is and they’re not going to get a bigger bid from elsewhere

We need more numbers in AM too. Lamela's fitness is shaky at best and Alli's having problems now because Poch had to overplay him. Replacing Eriksen like for like is not enough.
