I must have given you hundreds of net positive ratings over the years, and I'm thinking of asking for them all back. :stop:

Totally believe we will do the following before the window shuts:

In:
Sessegnon and Fernandes

Out:
CCV --> Championship club
Onomah --> Fulham
Eriksen --> United (HUGE *fartnoise*)

And, I'll struggle to see how we improved at all. Ndombele's a huge "get" here, but we just needed more. Sessegnon could be immense for us in a year or two, but Fernandes replicating what Eriksen offered from a creativity standpoint is highly (highly) unlikely. And, while Ndombele offers some more creativity and incisiveness from a deeper midfield position, I think he may take a little longer to adjust than many are willing to allow.

Yep. Weaker as a squad, plus we strengthen United at the same time. Bit of a shitshow.

We have just had ITK from extremely reliable sources saying that it's possible but Sess is the only one we are really confident on and yet people choose to pin their hopes on a rumour by the Daily fucking Mail.

You know it’s getting desperate when we have to resort to the Mail to keep hope alive.

To be fair the mail have been the ones reporting how close the sess deal is all week.

Kind of want to take this post back as I don't want to spread the negativity, so much. I think if Eriksen goes, we could see GLC happen (in addition to Fernandes). I think GLC is unexpected right now with where things stand, but Eriksen could be a tipping point and could get us back to the table with Betis with an improved offer (rightly or wrongly, out of necessity/desperation).

Said this in another thread but I think we have a real issue of how we value players. We just don’t seem to be willing to spend like other teams. That’s fine, but it’s only going to take us so far. After lasts season’s success in the CL, the new stadium, the bumper new sponsorship, this is the window we should be spending, but more and more it looks like Sessegnon, if anyone will be our only addition. It’s a real concern, as other teams are not standing still
