I have seen lots of games of BF. I agree that he is not the type of player that orchestrates the teams play from deep; or maybe better, at Sporting that isn't his primary role.

Plus:

He is highly competitive and has an amazing work-rate.
He is very mobile

Thanks for the insight! Anyone in our current squad you could compare him to? Don't know much about him.

Siggurdson Mk2 and very similar to Ali. Great stats but needs the team to be built around him. We need more all round general ability on the ball and the ability to playmaker.

Surely that's where GLC comes in?

It’s weird how against this some people are, he’s a really good player. If it’s one or the other, I would prefer Lo Celso, though - as he seems to be Poch’s preference and I want us to build an Argentinian army here.

I havent seen much of him to say whether i want him or not BUT I WANT SOMEONE JUST ANYONE

The thing is if CE is leaving then i think we will need an orchestrator which from what i have seen, BF isnt that Nor is GLC.

ps - you can tell how long we have been agonising over transfers that we cant be bothered to spell out these jokers names - now initialling things

Totally agree. Looks a very good player to me

You’ve been that lazy and resorting to acronyms since you set up your account, though?

I’m not sure Eriksen was an orchestrator for much of last year. Occasionally, sure, but most of the time if was a rare moment of magic that he was in the team for.

I’d argue our main orchestrator this year will be Winks or Ndombele

It’s easy to think the grass is greener (and that he’s an upgrade on Eriksen), but he’s a really good progressive player.

Everything goes through him at Sporting, yes it’s a poor league.

I’d imagine his pass completion rate to be inferior to Eriksen, but he attempts far more through balls/crosses.

I think they are quite similar in the natural position on pitch, although BF does commit far more into the box on attacks.

Really like him, hope we aren’t just using it as tool for lo Celso.

You could be right in hindsight but it seems like with CE he just switches play etc - he is a very clever player and i like that. GLC and BF dont strike me as those clever players but i dont mind change and different - perhaps that is what we need

Good video of him against Barca in the UCL. Keeps his head up, moves the ball quickly, some nice one touch passes, very good dribbler, and draws a lot of fouls.

Tidy. Has a touch of VDV about him. Not particularly quick, but technically very good and quite cute in his play in terms of drawing the foul.
