Decent point. Especially as we're behind everyone else in terms of pre-season. Lots a positives. Maddison is class, Biss, what a game. We have a good squad, just need to use that Kane money to upgrade the defense (imo)

That Gift fella and a decent CB. We'll be good 👍

Maddison, Udogie, Emerson, Bissouma were excellent

Sanchez very good.

The front three were abysmal and a real worry.

Looks like we’ve a mid table striker and a mid table keeper. The football we played was way ahead of what we did last season though. At least we’ll be enjoyable to watch.

Brentford away was always an awful match up for our style so I'm pleased with that result

Must be the most possession we've had in a league game since Poch, surely.

Lots of positives and lots of worries too.

Bissouma was fantastic, VDV & Udogie look like good signings too, very good debuts from both.

Maddison was great, we all knew that. Will be our key man.

Skipp in my opinion is useless, a far inferior player to PEH. He’s the one we should be looking to offload.

The keeper looks poor, unfortunately.

Front 3 were awful. Richarlison is useless and we all know it.

Kulu & Son poor 1-1 which is a problem.

Poor subs I thought. Lo Celso & Solomon should have been on after 60 mins.

Sanchez & Emerson were solid.

Sky sports coverage disgraceful. Constant apologising for the inconvenience that this game hadn’t finished so delaying their hype for the clash of the plastic fantastics

Hello Bissouma. You look good. Get Bentancour next to him, things might start to happen

That was refreshing to see. Last few seasons we are usually the ones hanging on for the draw. This time you could see Brentford wanted the whistle more than us. Things are changing for sure.

Bissouma and Maddison brilliant. With Bentancur in there too midfield is sorted. VDV did well considering less then a week and the ugly deflection for their goal.

Surprised Kulu saw the full 90.

After that Udogie masterclass, it’s time to prepare ourselves for the hardest goodbye this summer - farewell Marta, you will not be forgotten

Think our lack of preseason match minutes showed in the end.

Both teams very leggy.

Not the easiest place to go and play your first game away. Brentford were very organised.

Thought all the new boys looked good. Very impressed with Udogie.

Not unhappy with that. Four debuts at a really tough place to go and we imposed ourselves, even if we were a little toothless.

Brentford are relentless, but I really dislike their 'football-by-numbers' style. Back to the Lane next week, and hopefully some more points.

The concern should be entirely focused on the front 3 today, who have now shown in multiple systems with separate managers over the last year that their end product is severely lacking.

The club need to take a hard look at the transfer market for not only a striker, but a goal scoring wing-forward, too. Yes, others will score goals, but you can't finish in the top 6 in the current Premier League with forwards who don't contribute goals.

I think we need to move the ball a bit quicker especially in transition, but encouraging signs.

Shaky defensively in the first half.

Deserved to win overall.

Bissouma, Maddison, Udogie were good. MVdV looks like he’s going to be a great fit.

Vicario looks a bit scary. But he’s also being asked to be a risk taker by the manager.

Looking forward to Bentancur being back in contention in the middle.

Our front three aren’t good enough, overall, to be the starting.

Can at least see the beginnings of the Ange blue print.
