I wanna see us try using Son up top. Richy might come good but i have more faith in Son overall.

I see Lo Celso as an alternative to Maddison, I feel we need a hybrid CM as well, one that can unpick a defence but also put their foot in.

What did Vicario do wrong?

Jeez, tough crowd.
Yeah didn't do anything amazing but apart from one hurried kick out of play and a bit of a dodgy decision to come out in the second half I thought he was fine. It's a low bar I know, but he looked better than Hugo on the ball.

I think In this system. Kulu doesn’t have the pace, however it’s early days yet but I hope we buy competition for him.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

These are the teams we need to beat unfortunantly for us. Can't take too much away just yet, its very early some positives some negatives.

I am not in the play attractive football and thats it camp, it needs to be complete, like it was under Poch.

Lots of the season left though, see how this pans out

Game we dominated, game we should have won. I’m sure many will criticize Richarlison but he’s doing his job of pressing up against the CBS but he’s not getting any service. I don’t see how Postecoglou’s system can work with an inverted winger on one flank and an inside forward on the other side. We are not getting enough crosses in.
Bissouma and Maddison were very good, the debutants did well. Royal was poor and Skipp didn’t really affect the game. Was very surprised AP took so long to make changes, that he made so few and especially Lo Celso and maybe Solomon didn’t get on.
First game though so early days. There was a lot to like but we will have tougher games which may expose us more especially defensively. ManU will cause much more problems next week.

Hear me out..

Son right, Kulu left. That way they're not cutting inside onto their strongest foot all the time and should take the full back on.

Jesus that’s quite the take.
Absolutely. He looked comfortable with the ball at his feet, and I think people getting nervous are just used to Hugo spooning it out most of the time. A couple of loose passes but making your debut away at Brentford is no easy task. I thought he did well after what was a bit of a shaky start. Made some good stops too.

Do you have to be blamed for a goal? The game was 90 mins. If I have to explain why that performance was horrible then there's little point talking to you about it.

I don’t recall him being liable for any goals, or giving the ball away, or allowing the opposition to create any opportunities.

If you can’t explain what he actually did wrong then I will assume you’re a virgin refugee from Twitter who’s more excited by vibes than reality.

A lot of promising football. My big concern is the GK. This guy looks like a joke. Eveything was laced with anxiety. Its like we've respawned a young Hugo on his worst days.
I think he was just absolutely pumped for the first game. He saved a shot at his near post near the start and celebrated like we'd won the league. He needs to calm down, take it down a notch and find his feet. I hope it works out but I do think there will be some hair raising moments with him.
