Disappointed by that, but Bournemouth worked incredibly hard to be fair.

Still think a lack of cutting edge in the final third continues to restrict us somewhat.

Outfought, outwitted and outworked by Bournemouth.........

O.K.

Poor performance again in the final third we were not good enough... lack of crossing the ball when the opportunity is there, not shooting when in line with the goal and general offensive decision making needs a lot of improvement..

We spent 58 million pounds this summer on Janssen, Sissoko and Nkoudou. Zero goals and zero assists in the league thus far from these three attacking players. Truthfully, they'd be lucky to tally 5 goals and 5 assists between them this season, as when everyone is fit, they won't be starting.

Should have just put the money together and gone for a proper player like Lacazette.

Just off the top of my head, Janssen assisted Son's first goal against 'Boro.

I'd play Lamela middle, Son left and then one from Alli, GKN, Eriksen, Sissoko right...... Lamela keeps the ball and actually improvises in the final third, Eriksen looks timid as fuck and does literally nothing killer in the final thrid these days.
think it highlights our issues that we don't have a nailed on started for the right hand side of the pitch

With the exception of Newcastle away last season, that was probably the worst performance I have seen from us in a long, long time. The only positives I can muster up are Wanyama being an absolute tank and Jan getting back to something like his best.

Poch also needs to have a serious think about his selection and tactics going forward, some really poor decisions on his part.

Few panty twisted entitled supporters amongst Spurs these days.

Performance was decent. Took over in the second half but lacked cutting edge against a well organised and hard working defence.

Verts has been rock solid recently. Another clean sheet.

All in all not the end of the world but we need to start winning these games.

Why is it whenever people have a moan at a very lacklustre performance we get the old "self entitled supporters" line coming out? In what way when you consider that a victory would have taken us top of the league was it a decent performance? I cant think of a single decent save their joke of a keeper had to make.

Pochs subs were appalling and our big money signings from the summer are looking worse with every passing minute they are on the pitch. People are well entitled to point out that today we were fucking woeful.

And before the reply comes, yes I was around in the 90's but that doesn't mean that I now have to accept every shit performance that we serve up as its ok because it wasn't as bad as the 90's.

The whole clubs mentality has to change, until it does we wont be winning anything, anytime soon.

Really looking forward to Kane returning now. I know we sometimes criticise him for not passing more often, but I'm looking forward to someone just bull dozing their way into the box and unleashing well struck shots.

Fair comment from Harry Arthur. Still don't believe it should have been a red card though considering the ball was out of play and it wasn't his throw in.

Once the ball is no longer in play, players from the team who don't get the decision needs to back off completely and not touch the ball.
He took an elbow to the head. The fact it was out of play makes it even worse as there was no reason or need for it. That was a clear as day red card with the standard 3 match ban and probably more tacked on.

Same old faces saying how the ref was a homer and was shit. Give it a rest guys you can't blame the ref every single week for our indifferent performances.

The ref wasn't why we didn't win today but that doesn't hide from the fact he should have booked more of their players and yes our players got lucky too.

And if u read what I said, it was Poch subs that cost us the game imo, not the ref

Bournemouth played out of their skins and defended brilliantly. We played into their plan by slowing the ball down way too much when approaching the box, but in turn, that was mainly because they left so few gaps. We had a great deal of pressure in the second half, but remarkably few shots - everything got snuffed out before someone could get a shot away. That's generally a sign of a very well-drilled defence.

Fortunately, we generally defended well, too, especially Vertonghen (except for one late brain-fart). 0-0 was a fair scoreline for a good football match. Eddie Howe is a very good manager who is building himself a very attractive and effective team.

I see a number of posts suggesting the ref was a "homer". If that had been so, we would have finished with 9 men.

They would have finished with 10, Arter could easily of seen red. The issue for me is the intensity against City was so much greater than this, i just got baffled by the lack of drive we are showing against WBA and Bournemouth, Keane and Scholes at United would be demanding players step up, we just seem to have a fair few games where we go through the motions and dominate possession with no goal threat at all. Even with Kane in the team against WBA and Bournemouth he would have struggled as we were so slow and lacked any creativity. That is the slight concern i'm having. Crying out for GKN in both games.

I am fucking fuming. 2 points from possible 6 against mid to bottom table teams its a fucking disgrace.

This comment is a laughable
They pressed us well and the ref was shit, however I feel like Poch subs made no sense at all when it's a game we are looking to win

We go out looking to win every game, unfortunately sometimes the other team plays well, fair play to Bournemouth and West Brom they both had a game plan and stuck to it.

Even Messi would have struggle to score today

No urgency
No cutting edge
Hate lunchtime games, they're always shit. We need to be winning games like that though, far tougher tests to come.
