So was Dier on Pogba. Funny old game

Pogba was passed Dier, albeit not a lot of contact Dier was intentionally trying to tackle him hence the penalty. Whereas King was watching the ball. Had he been looking at Kane then yes it would have been a pen.

Michael Oliver needs to have his job seriously looked at. He is totally an utterly incompetent. If I were as bad as him at my job day in day out I would get sacked.

One of the flaws of VAR, referee don't want to take responsibility with the call knowing that VAR will check it, while VAR will find it not severe enough to go against the referees call

One of the most RIDICULOUS decisions ever. One consistent thing about VAR , it's consistently shxtty.

If that was Man U or Liverpool, that's 10000000% a penalty awarded.

lol, so you can just blindly run into people and get away with it as long as you’re not looking at them?

When has that ever been a guarantee of the right decision?

Ref doesn’t give it
VAR doesn’t give it
Commentators agree he was watching the ball and it would have been soft

The quality of the fundamentals throughout this team is absolutely horrendous. Basic things like first touch and playing the right weight of pass so the teammate receiving doesn't have to break stride. It's fucking shocking.

You can't run people over with outstretched arms, intentionally or not. It's given as a free kick anywhere else on the pitch.

It’s kind of what we all expected. Two teams severely lacking in confidence continually coughing up possession.

That’s the point of VAR, it has to be a clear and obvious error to overturn the original decision. In this case it wasn’t clear or obvious.

Not watching the first half, instead I thought I’d rely on this thread for updates.

That was a mistake.

Stephen reid an ex player on bbc says it should been a pen. We need to have ex players involved in Var that actually know the game
