Looking for the negatives much?

You're right though. We should have bought super Stipe on upfront.

He has a point - Blackburn brought in two midfield players and our possession went from 70% to under 50 as Blackburn took control in the middle. Harry should have taken Palacios off who was having a major day off for Sandro and keep Defoe to put pressure on their defenders. Instead he takes Defoe off causing us to drop even deeper without a good chance to score back if they had tied the game, which luckily (not because we were so awesome defensively) for us they couldnt do.

This is very true. I think it's why the criticism of Crouchie recently has been very harsh. He's probably missed more chances than the other strikers but at the same time he's been much better at bringing others into the game (most notably Rafa).

Nobody is scoring many goals out of our strikers but I think Crouch offers at least more of an alround game than the other two.

Will be interesting to see what Harry does at the weekend.

The criticism was justifies as it is justified to say that he had a very good game against Balckburn. Won a lot of balls in the air, including for the goal for which he looked like jumping a good 5 feet in the air, and had Defoe been a bit more clever we would have score few more. Crouch had a lot of nice passes with the rest of the players and he looks much better of a player when we pass the ball around which involves him as well, than constantly bombarding him with crosses and long balls. I just wish that he muscled up a bit so he gains strength so it makes it harder for the defenders to bully him, speed, acceleration. Right now he looks like someone who is malnourished and needs to be put on a life support system.

This is harry's selection.

STARTING XI - Gomes; Corluka, Dawson, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto; Van der Vaart, Jenas, Palacios, Lennon; Crouch, Defoe. SUBS - Cudicini, Bassong, Hutton, Kranjcar, Pienaar, Sandro, Pavlyuchenko.

Still no start for Kranjcar. Why did you insist on keeping him harry?! :bang:

So who would you have dropped to play him?

Also why did you post this in the BLACKBURN thread for the bolton game?

and you call Harry a muppet....

Not impress with him, im glad we didnt sign him.

One game in England, too soon to judge either way really.

It is as futile to dismiss him as not good enough and a dodge bullet but us as it is for people to rave about him for scoring on his debut and say we missed out on the new Tevez.

were the fuck did Lennon get this shot from

I can see why Harrys got him on the left as he's developed a damn good shot to cut in and rattle off

Kranjcar needs to start ahead of Pienaar with Lennon on the right. Also Pav instead of Defoe.

He's always had it he just had to believe in himself, his left foot is very good too he just needs to believe in himself more (one of the reasons i hope playing on the left will force him to use it more)

Gus Poyet said that when he was a pundit last season on one of our games "he has a great shot and can cross very well with both feet, it's just getting Aaron to believe it"
