About to hop on a plane to London to see the game agains the Spammers on Saturday, and thought I'd better check if there are any issues in getting around London, and how best to get to WHL?

Staying in a Westminster area hotel (near Victoria station I believe).

Would getting on a train from Victoria to Tottenham be the best way? How long would it take, and what time should I plan on getting to WHL?

First time to see Spurs play live, and to WHL. Very excited about this trip.

Thanks!

Get the Victoria line to Seven Sisters then either get the overground a few stops to WHL, any bus ending in a ..9 from outside the station or walk it down the High St.

Normally this would be fine but the Victoria line is down for engineering this weekend, as are a load of other lines:

Fortunately the bit of the Circle Line you need is fine so take the Circle Line (tube) to Liverpool Street and then the Overland train (train) to White Hart Lane. Allow yourself 1.5 hours to be comfortable

Just clocked the engineering work, should have expected it because they only ever seem to schedule these kind of works when we play at home!

Has to be Liverpool street station then overground to WHL or Northumberland park, there'll be plenty of Spurs fans at Liverpool St.

Not a bad game to pick for your debut USAYID have a great time!

IIRC a No73 Bus from Victoria Station will get you to Tottenham, if you get off at Seven Sisters you can catch any number of buses to the ground.

I'm getting old so i'd check that i've got the bus number right though (or even if the service still runs). If you can be arsed to go by bus that is.........

Be careful at Liverpool Street - there will a lot of West Ham fans chopping and changing there.

73 will take you to seven sisters but it will be a massive pain in the arse and take bloody ages.

If you go that way leave 0900 the latest. Best bet is the circle line to liv street.

Definitely the Circle Line to Liverpool Street, and then overground to WHL (or Bruce Grove, if you want a wider choice of kebab joints—I recommend the Gaziantep and Kitabevi). 73 bus from Victoria to Tottenham Town Hall is fine if you've got bags of time and fancy a sightseeing tour.

If it's your first time you could head up early and soak up the atmosphere inside and outside at a leisurely pace. Also you could, if you wish, watch the players warm up from about an hour before kick-off.

Congrats USAYID! I recommend memorising www.thetube.com it's the best site for answering any "how do I get to..." questions. I use it all the time, mainly for bus times but it's journey planner is excellent and the rest of the site answers pretty much any query about london transport.

Anyone listen to The Spurs Show this week, Jeff Maysh did a bit of a report from an LA Spurs meetup.

Guys,

wanted to take a moment (even if a couple of days late) to say thanks for all the help. Got to the game without a problem, and it was great to finally be in WHL, and see the team in person. Had great seats in the corner of the East Stand, and was 4 rows away from the pitch. Got to see VDV, Bale, Modders up close. Great section, by the way, as everyone sang throughout the game, and only sat down at half time.

Definitely a great experience, and one I want to repeat. Also enjoyed being in London again, and will definitely be back.

Cheers everyone!!!
