Thats agents for ya. I work through an agent and hes always trying to get me away from where i am for a better rate etc. Same sort of thing with berba. Im confident he'll still be a spurs player next season, as i think hes happy enough here.

IF he does go to chelsea (or anywhere else for that matter), i wonder how long it will take for the media to suggest he wants out by being 'unhappy' on the pitch?!

i cant believe we are going to have another 5 months, nearly half a year of this berba shite. Cant we start a single thread up for it.

I really hope it is sorted early doors in the transfer window.

There might be a Berbatov black hole at some stage like there was for Jol and Robbo.

Hang on..... We best hope there isn't!

The agent's a prick but sympathize with his position. He's doing his job and Berba is his most prized client. Berba's a great product so as far as the agent is concerned he needs to get out there and present it.

The way Milan are going at the moment, they'll be lucky to qualify for the CL, and they're going to be needing a lot more than a new striker if they're going to stay anywhere near the top.

Dimitar Berbatov’s agent has exclusively told setantasports.com that Tottenham have received no contact from Milan regarding the Bulgarian, but the option would be discussed should such an offer arise.

Berbatov’s name has been heavily linked to the Rossoneri in the Italian press, as Carlo Ancelotti sets about rejuvenating his ageing side.

The Tottenham striker has been a revelation at White Hart Lane, netting 20 goals this season – including the equaliser in Spurs’ Carling Cup triumph over Chelsea.

Berbatov’s agent Emil Dantchev insists the club has had no contact with Milan and he claimed his client is happy at Tottenham, but he admits the prospect of playing for Milan would be discussed should an offer come their way.

“If there is any interest there has been no contact with his club,” Dantchev told setantasports.com.

“Milan is one of the biggest clubs in Europe and if there was interest we would discuss it with Dimitar.

“At the moment Dimitar is concentrating on doing his job with Tottenham. There is plenty of time until the transfer window.

“He is happy. But what I know from my 25 years in football is that if a player is happy somewhere, it does not mean he cannot be happy somewhere else.”

That dare I say it says Berba is happy at the club, that he would descuss the intrest with Berba if a bid was made. This to me sounds like Berba is happy and things are good, rather then the opposite.

Milan might not even make the CL. They're 4 points of the pace. They also look like they need a major overhaul.

I am of the opinion that Berba knows full well whats going on - and I would venture a guess that his agent does this on Berb's say so..think about it, Berb is this guys meal ticket, there is no way he would be doing anything at all to piss off his best chance of making some 'real' cash...Berb has a quick word to him to get out in the press -the guy does it and then takes all the flak; when all along its Berba touting himself around to see what interest there is, even at this early stage...

Disagree if you like but its just a thought

if the chelsea gossip is true, then it's good news.

Every spurs fan msut know that even if we keep dimi, there will at least be clubs sniffing around come summer, and if we can get a bidding war between man u and chelsea, then we can practically swap the man for a new stadium + transfer kitty.

sign some really good midfielders, and a replacement striker (who may not be as good as berba but oh well), we will ahve a better squad etc

happy days.

Good point, the more clubs interested the higher the transfer fee will be
