If this was true, Levy would not offer Berbatov to sign extension to his contract, as there would remain 4 1/2 seasons until it runs out. :wink:

Actually Levy offered him a contract on better terms, as he didn't feel his wages matched his ability. He wanted to make Berbatov feel more appreciated. Not sure what the outcome was, but it wasn't actually about extending his contract.

We normally add an option for the club to extend.
