Before I start I have to say I am not part of the Ramos Out Brigade. But when Bentley came on yesterday he was shaking his head in what looked like disbelief that he was coming on to play right back, this to me is the first sign of dissent I've seen from any of the players and hints at dressing room unrest. Is this just a one off and a sign of his frustration at not being in the starting line up or a sign of more widespread unrest?

To play as a defender.

Make your own mind up, but I completely understand bentleys frustration.
Its right across the team as well though.

He was just trying to shake out the excess hair gel he'd caked onto his bonce.

What a load of shit. PAY ATTENTION. As he came on he was Shaking his head AT ZOKORA, who must have asked if he was going to right back. His "Body Language" was fine. FFS.

Whatever he was shaking his head at he didn't look happy! And if you paid attention you would notice that I dind't say 'who' he was shaking his head at but made a guess at 'what' he was shaking his head at. Thanks for putting me straight but there's more polite ways of putting your point accross.

Almost as if we went to three at the back, given the lack of threat from King in the latter stages of the second half.

He came on to double up with Lennon, his job was to get crosses in from deep and him and lennon worked well together.

If Bentley has got an issue he should concentrate on improving his game because apart from his crossing ability he doesn't have much else in his locker.

Players playing out of position isn't gonna help there confidence one bit, those players pciked should be playing in there preferred strongest positions, if the players are shaking there heads then its obvious to me that Ramos is losing the dressing room aswell as his marbles, I mean come on, Bentley right back, WTF! Lets just put Lennon in goal and move Gmoes upfront hay, i'm sure Ramos would still get away with it by those blind people that keep thinking things will get better.

Ramos just cannot win, can he.

Lennon was playing well, so if Ramos had subbed Lennon and brought on Bentley then he'd get slagged off for doing that!

So instead, Ramos takes off a defender, brings on Bentley to try to offer something else and people are still not happy.

But he put him at right back!

He was nominally at right back, yes, but spent just as much time up the pitch as he did defending.

Where was he supposed to play? Right wing? So where would Lennon have played?

I don't agree with all his decisions, but I just don't understand what Ramos should have done any differently yesterday.

Bang on Matty. Commentators like to label players with positions so described Bentley as RB. In fact he played as 2nd RW with Azza and it nearly came off.

I really sense that some fans are now criticising Ramos just for the sake of it.

Yup it was a master stroke by Ramos!! Get more crosses into the box just for no one to get on the end of them! Tell Modric or Jenas to push up to get on the end of the crosses, What else could he have done I hear u ask? WIN! How people can say we are critising Ramos for the sake of it when we are currently bottom of the EPL with 2 draws is beyond me. Ok we lost Keane and Berba, this should only cause us not to be in the top 6 it should not cause us to be dead last!

This thread is about the Bentley/Gunter substitution which imho was a good one given we were chasing the game.

Sure Ramos has got a lot to answer for, but that substitution isn't one of them.

Totally agree. When we are chasing a game Ramos always puts on a midfielder at full back, it worked a treat in the cup final when Ramos was hailed for our victory.

Not about Bentley, but re: Body Language. Did anyone notice the cutaway shot to Levy & DC towards the end on FF.

Levy seriously could not have been leaning any further away from DC while staying in the same seat.

Would love to be a fly on the wall of DC's office today.
