Andre Villas-Boas insists Tottenham should feel "ashamed" after they were dismantled 6-0 by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Spurs went behind after just 13 seconds, Hugo Lloris' poor clearance pounced upon by City with Jesus Navas chipping the ball over the keeper into the net.
Navas netted another with Sergio Aguero bagging two, while Alvaro Negredo also got on the scoresheet with Sandro adding an own goal.

"It's difficult to explain. Everything went wrong for us. We have to be ashamed of a result like this one," Villas-Boas told Sky Sports after the match.

"Our head was gone after the first goal. My emotions are not important. But to lose 6-0 is extremely embarrassing for any individual."

When asked if the result was the worst of his career, Villas-Boas said: "It is the worst defeat for everyone at Tottenham."

Spurs have now scored just nine goals in 12 Premier League games this season. And after Emmanuel Adebayor came off the bench in the second half, Villas-Boas revealed he is looking at integrating two strikers into a 4-4-2 system.

"Adebayor gives us more attacking options," said Villas-Boas. "He's been training hard.''
Villas-Boas also confirmed Sandro had recovered after throwing up on the pitch in the first half. "He was fine after he vomited," said Villas-Boas. "It was maybe something to do with the pre-match meal."

All through last season and so far this season I have stayed out of the whole AVB debate. The only thing I am now going to say is that his interview worrys me. Hes states that our plans become secondary because we went 1-0 down? Does that mean no plan B? that was almost like saying that we have no plan once we go 1-0 down? I don't understand that?

Thirteen seconds into the game and their heads have dropped, that's a weak mentality right there.
