Well, I could be wrong, but I believe Aunt Sally is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era.

dunno, but my searching helped me find out that the French call it 'game of carnage' which couldn't be further from the truth!

So tonight saw the division E power houses plough (west hanney) take on the black horse (east hanney) in the much anticipated NWD.

Whilst winning one leg each before drawing the third. The plough overcame east Hanney in the beer leg sending the crowd home happy (pissed).

I came across one of those dolly supports way back in the '70s and didn't know what it was until some 800 year old guy became excited about it and then told me what it was.
He said something along the line of "you'd sit your mother-in-law on it and throw battens at her" there was no aunt with the find but apparently it's very rare to find one.

Edit. I've just googled it and it's still a thing! ??

What a shame that cultures becoming so homogenised now that things like this must be being lost daily, all over the world. Right up to languages. I think its a real shame
