Love Siggy, but he needs to stick out wide on the left to pull the defence apart and create those spaces.

Townsend, needs to learn to attack the wings more often, as our best play comes when our wingers actually attack the wings forcing opposing players to face goal. He keeps making far to many wrong choices in a game, one of which would have played the ball to Soldado who was free in the box and would have got his 2nd.

EDIT: Great to see Sandro back as well.

Horrid first half, much better in the second.

Happy with the win though, and another 3 points in the bag and good to get over the disaster that was WetSpam.

Good to see Sandro back in the team and it can"t be pure conicidence that with him back we keep a clean sheet. Thought this was going to be a difficult game and at times, particularly the first half, it was however Sandro and Andros today were a cut above everybody else.

He didn't actually say it though. That's a misprint in the live text commentary. He said Defoe was sharper but that Soldado was maybe playing more as he was better at linking up. He said shortly after that there was a case in point when Defoe ignored Lennon.

I feel faintly dirty defending Keown though it has to be said.
