I'd go 3-5-2, clog the midfield to win the battle there and keep Richarlison in reserve to smash them second half.

Especially assuming Kulusevski isn't fit to start.
I really liked the 3-5-2 last game out.
It gave so much more balance and shape to the side. CM looked infinitely more solid with a lot less holes and space for the oppo to play in.
At the same time having Son more central and closer to Kane isn’t a bad thing. Son also benefited from the extra with Peresic playing higher up on his side now.
For away fixtures against teams that recycle and keep the ball well. Two up top with the WB and a rotating CM free to support them for me.

We battered them the last time we played, so why all the negativity? Let's go there and batter them again

They start games very well, we don’t really turn up for at least half an hour, that’s not a great combo

If we are still in the game after 25 minutes though I fancy we’ll get something today

This is way too early for an NLD - I know why they did a 12:30 kick off on a saturday, same as they did for the mersyside derby but fuck me im still half asleep and about to douse myself in whisky...

I really fucking hope our players dont feel the way I feel - this is just too early

And there's the problem with having only four reliably good forwards. One injury and we have zero options. No, I don't count Moura as a reliably good forward.

I want to see Bissouma start, he always bosses Arsenal.

I think midfield is where it will be won or lost. So I hope it will be a 352 as I think it still gives us enough to get in behind them with their high line.

I'm dreading this. Worst game of the season for me. Always lose and have to listen to those mugs for a week or two gloating

PEH, Bentancur and Bissouma will boss them and the lightweight midfield they have especially if Partey is out. Stopping Jesus getting it to feet and turning is an important area. Romero and his aggression will see to that.

We absolutely can't be giving the ball away as much as we did in the first halves against Marseille and Leicester, and throughout the game against Sporting Lisbon, especially in our own half, they will be out of sight by half time before we can lay a glove if we repeat these kind of tactics.

In both games in the last two seasons at the Emirates our midfield was overrun and we were a poor 2nd in most of the 50/50 challenges and intensity, if that happens again, we can forget it.

I'm in the camp of having PEH, Bentancur and Bissouma in to start this one and saving Richarlison for the second half.

We need to beef up that centre and not get bullied in the first 30-45 mins, if we stay on par by HT at least I fancy us to get something.

COYS, let's do this !

I think 2 up top would actually bring the best out of our forwards even though it means 2 wouldn't start.

I think this will be our toughest game of the season so far. Arsenal tend ot start very fast, so we really need to be on it the first 15 minutes. I'd like to see a 3-5-2. I also think Sessegnon would be better defensively against Arsenal's quicker forwards than Perisic. Spence had Martinelli well and truly in his pocket when Forest beat Arsenal 2-1 in the cup last season so I'd love it if he played, but it will definitely be Royal. I would not start Doherty in this fixture due to lack of pace and a lack of an aerial threat from Arsenal. Assuming Lloris and Kulusevski are out:

Forster
Romero -- Dier -- Lenglet
Emerson* -- Højbjerg -- Bissouma -- Bentancur -- Sessegnon
Kane -- Son

(*I'd pick Spence!)

Subs: Austin, Sanchez, Tanganga, Spence, Perisic, Skipp, Sarr, Bryan, Richarlison

I wouldn't mind seeing Spence as well. Also maybe Skipp instead of Bissouma. Local lad, likes to get stuck in!

Team bus just gone past us in Camden.
The irony that I live next to the Emerites. Was offered a ticket.
And and now in a taxi going to a fking wedding instead of the easy commute I could ever have to a game.
Bloody train strike too

Not expecting anything today, if history is anything to go by.

We don’t handle the pressure in these type of derby games, away from home.

Hopefully Conte is different though & the extra man in midfield (if we play it) proves pivotal.

And first thing Saturday morning to fk up the whole weekend.
I do think in the grand scheme of things its better we play away at the start rather than vice versa.
Just gonna be a shit weekend. Brace yourself.

History says we've never played them with Conte in charge there.
This isn't going to be a Nuno master cock up, we ain't turning up with Ndombele and Dele in the the trenches .....

Coys...... believe!!!

Fair points. Agreed it doesn't happen overnight. But I wasn't talking about replacements for Kane. I just think we're still one short up top for a long season and four competitions. That's all.
