100%.

Our movement is absolutely atrocious. We literally stand around watching the player with the ball. It's largely been like this for over a year now, papered over by the CL run and individual moments from our star players.

I'm glad Poch seems happier this week but there's something fundamentally wrong with our movement and play, and I don't see it being solved quickly, if at all.

And from a purely selfish point of view, I can't fucking stand watching this garbage much longer. Even though I will.

This 100%, is exactly how I feel. I can't believe how static we are with the ball and not only that it's game after game after game that we are like it and it's game after game that we struggle largely because of it. It's really frustrating to see us repeatedly like so.

I would love to see a sign that we're at least trying to improve in this area of play but I really don't think we will, I think it will be the same slow unimaginative football.

Is it too much to ask to see the sort of football being played today that will at least create some chances? Maybe so, unfortunately.

Form for me goes out the window in this derby match. It's about grit and passion. This is a game we need strong gutsy players not afraid of a challenge. Rose takes this game more seriously than the others because he knows the importance of it. If the rest show his spirit we'll be OK. COYMFS!!!

Normally I'm sick to my stomach but I've been mentally preparing myself for defeat all week. Let's get this over and done with so I can take my medicine and move on.

You will. But seriously can we figure out where these ideas actually came from. They probably watched parts of old Bayern or Barca videos. I guessed that they missed the parts where they actually do something with the ball.Like they wait for an opportunity with the angles to hit an open man. Im not sure we have got that far in our development for that though. Its recycling without making any product out of the waste. Its a waste

Having watched the performance against Newcastle I think they'd still be waiting now.

You say that we might not have got that far into our development but we have been playing like this for six years so when does the training stop and the polished article take over, klopp has had slightly less time than poch but already he has better movement on and off the ball strange.

So we expecting Eriksen Jan and Dele to start??

Hopefully. I'd want to see Dele, Eriksen and Son behind Kane, probably with Winks and Sissoko behind. At least that way, if we're competitive right until the latter stages we'd have Lo Celso, Lamela and Lucas as options from the bench.

Think Poch will start Lamela, for his work rate as well as the fact that he fucking hates the scum.

Same here! You watch City and Liverpool and when they attack they do so with pace and directness. Lots of movement off the ball, getting behind the defence and they're not afraid of taking a shot.

I don't like comparing Spurs unfavourably with other teams but at the end of the day you look at sides who are winning regularly and see how they're doing it.

It's not as if we haven't got good players who are capable of playing that way!

That's a good point.
Poch was a defender and thinks like a defender. He has mostly created a tough defence and a dynamic attack when we get space.
What he lacks is creativity. It's the key point. He has developed nothing that way. We have Eriksen and Dele. Both of who Poch has made them better defender's or at least better skill defensively but created no creators or creativity.
Klopp has bought creative players and given them the freedom to create.
A perfect manager is one who can keep his players disciplined in a system but not so much that they choke themselves with it.
Poch wants to move more on the front foot, I'm not sure if he knows how.
Buying NDombele and Lo Celso was a step in the right direction but how reliant Poch will be in his old way if doing things remains to be seen.
Players need the freedom to make things happen.

If i start seeing sideways and backwards passing again....

Can see one of two scenarios - we’ll either hardly get a foot on the ball, or they’ll let us have ineffective possession and then hit us on the break.

Arsenal and others always seem to be able to adapt their tactics to us, whereas we famously refuse to change tactics because we believe we should be “imposing our game on others”.

This won’t be Newcastle , there will be large gaps in the gooners defence , they will attack and not park the bus.

We are winning 3-1 , Kane 2 and son 1 . Pepe with the goal for them

Like this post after the game when it has happened please

Im scared Poch is going to leave out Jan entirely here. Praying he’s in the XI but now i have this sinking feeling that Poch will leave him out and it will cost us again
