That's not an answer. Where are we now? Already 7 points behind the leader 4 games in.
Regardless of tactics or whatever we have too much quality to finish mid table. Is that good enough.
What difference does it make how far we are off the leader?
You are saying mid table.
No chance

Atkinson was so, so poor.

Would have taken a draw before the game but not after being two up yet again.

Taking Son off...I’m still in a state of shock. By a mile our most dangerous player

Would have taken Kane off and brought on Lucas. Kane looked shattered come the end, and he did fuck all all game.

Battered in the two away games but dogged displays give us welcome points,Sanchez horribly exposed as a right back and the fucking about between Lloris and the centre halves needs to sorted ,it invites pressure.

Battered? We should’ve won.

Just came here to say Neville is officially the most annoying human being in the world too me. Who the fuck decided it would be a good idea to let that idiot on the Sky team?

All in all not a negative performance. We could've done better but we've drawn with two of our top 6 rivals away from home.

Dele, Eriksen, Ndombele and Lo Celso are going to be a treat to watch together.

Can't believe some of you are slating Sissoko due to his shooting, the man damn near ran himself to death for the last 20 minutes. He powered forward when it looked like no one else had the energy too, and missed the shot. Could've happened to anyone but because its him it's a big deal. Grow up.

Our next 5 games are Palace, Leicester, Southampton and Watford before Liverpool away.

It's vital we look to gain momentum and pick up maximum points before that dreaded game.
I can predict how that Palace game is going to go right now..

He didn't do a whole lot, but I thought Le Celso looked good out there. Looks like someone who can take the ball under pressure and keep it, something we've badly needed.

It's strange because it's a good result but I find myself massively irritated. Sissoko doing my absolute head in, we need better than him in the centre of midfield simple as, missing often is one thing but how can he hit the ball wildly over every single fucking time. Kane, why is he not shooting there at the end instead of passing to Sissoko and also his with his Vardy-esque dive when he had Lo Celso (I think) in the middle.

Poch, taking off our one fast player when we're playing on the counter and keeping Lucas on the bench, the mind boggles.

It's a good result really, especially after they got one it seemed massively typical for them to turn it around.

The thing that stood out to me though was just a massive lack of quality and how cheaply we gave the ball away, all game. Winks and Sissoko in particular for me.

Sissoko was crucial in us surviving that pressure from Arsenal. His move and winning that free kick helped us massively. His finishing is horrendous, but in truth he got us this point.

Well that was a hard second half.

But we will get better from this and arsenal will regret not winning when we were on the ropes.

Poch and his subs again though, it was obvious we needed another midfielder on from 60th min but he waited and waited before it was too late. Then he waited and waited and risked arsenal taking the lead which they nearly did.

Soon as Lo Celso came on we started getting high up again and relieve the pressure.

I thought our set up and start was spot on, Arsenal were always going to attack us so it was important we stayed compact, which we did. Poch got the start right.

I thought we were much more decisive going forward. Less touches, more passes. Obviously it's easier when you have space and the Palace game will be a sterner test. But I'm really looking forward to seeing Lo Celso start with Eriksen and Ndombele return. Think it'll click then.

On another we could have lost that, on another Kanes shot goes in and we sneak it.

The biggest worry is Kane imo. The old Kane would have tried to shoot instead of looking for the pen against Sokratis and could very well have scored. The same with the earlier chance where he opted for a bad pass to Dele instead of trying to smash it in.. He's also rarely on the end of runs and has looked a bit clueless about what to do at times..

I seriously don't know why some pick on sissoko. He's not great but today he worked hard.
Lots of run but just no finish...
Exactly. At times he’s a beast; he plays like it’s his last ever game. Just gutted he can’t finish

Well, thought we were cruising till the goal just before HT. Poor time stupidly give away a goal. Was trying to settle my 7 month old but I think it was Rose who gave it away. How many chances does he get? Surely Davies gets a crack.

Thought the game was perfect for Moura to come on. We had a couple of breaks with Son where he ran into dead ends, who knows what could have been with Moura provided support.

Better performance but still far from the finished article. After a difficult start, fixture wise, still not a bad start to the season.

No competent defensive midfielder; it's literally the most crucial position in the sport at the moment.

Oh of course we lack there but I’m talking about the actual back four. The mistakes, failing to clear the ball when in so much time etc
It’s schoolboy stuff

Neville and co were talking about possible red card. I didn’t agree but shows how it was easily a yellow.

Atkinson’s handling of Xhaka was disgusting
Is borderline red tbh. Two-legged lunge. European refs will probably give it in the CL me think.

But agree on Atkinson's handling. He stopped game too much while we were in possession and broke up some momentum.

2-2 at the Emirates is a good result. But the actual football was lacking in quality from both teams. Mostly us though.

I mean we have showed we can score against Real Madrid, Juventus, Barcelona etc. We have enough quality up front to hurt any team. But we have seriously deteriorated defensively the past 12-18 months. Having Sanchez at RB was just the icing on the cake today - our defense starting from the press play up front all the way back to Lloris is just a non-functional machine at the moment.

Anyway, it's still early days. We've had to immensely hard away matches versus City and Arsenal. We played horribly at times but still managed to draw both matches. That's a positive in itself.

For once I feel like the international break does us a service.
