With the progress of our younger players such as Kane, Mason, Bentaleb and the many other younger players who are seemingly on the brink of our first team, are we seeing an upturn in determination from kids nowadays.
You can see that these lads mentioned are showing a lot of heart and desire to become better players, even if they have made the achievement of "breaking through". It doesn't seem to be happening at just our club either, United have Wilson, McNair and Blackett integrated this year too, as well as other younger players at other clubs up an down the country too.
When the likes of Bostock, Parrett and others were loaned out they seemingly didn't impress and I remember that a lot of the younger players around had discipline problems, or expected too much too soon. Now I see talented kids working much harder to improve.
Does anyone else feel that this new generation have a better grasp that knucking down will bear fruit? Or am I getting a little ahead of myself?
For a while there was a pool of talented players who seemed to have the attitude that just because they had been given a professional contract, they felt they had made it.
