Just read all the posts above, I was a few pages back still. Clearly some people agree it's not certain there wasn't any.

In a stadium of 62,000 it's quite easy to mishear things. If you believe you heard anything racist (to you or anyone) you report it. Can't blame him.for reporting anything if he genuinely thought he heard it at the time. Anyway, the investigation found nothing. We all moved on. If he joins I'll support him. Hope everyone else does.
Did he ever come out with exactly what he heard ? of course he didn't because he didn't hear anything racial.

The fact we’re interested probably means Rudiger is too. That says to me he’s moved on and a lot of people on this forum haven’t.

Let me ask you this: if a women publicly screamed at you in a busy nightclub, saying you’ve made racist remarks, tarnishing your name and reputation, would you still try and take her home at 2am?

Actually, scrap that....

Wet finger in the back of the cab? but she doesn’t make it 4th base.

Somebody’s gotta take these unfounded accusations seriously.

Whilst I appreciate racism, and accusations of racism should not be ignored or overlooked, it would be nice to see a few comments based on his actual footballing ability, or lack of.

Are some not wanting him purely based on his accusations.

Would he actually do a job for us, improve us. What's his strengths and weaknesses. I'm down for seeing a few comments about his actual ability.

For the record, whilst I'd certainly prefer Skriniar, I think Rudiger would actually add a bit more physicality to our defence.

Some things are bigger I suppose you think Sulzeer didn't really do anything wrong. For me this clown joined the "Sol" club.

New piece in The Athletic, Ornstein and Honigstein contributed.

Tottenham are Rudiger’s preferred destination. His complaint about being racially abused during Chelsea’s 2-0 win there last December is not a factor and will not put him off. The north London club had looked at Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan. That is all but over so the Chelsea man is their main target.

However, Chelsea are reluctant to grant Rudiger such a switch. Relations between the two London rivals have not been good during the Roman Abramovich era. The last player to leave Stamford Bridge for Spurs was back-up keeper Carlo Cudicini 11 years ago and that was on a free transfer when the Italian was at the latter stage of his career. There is still some upset felt at Chelsea on being beaten by Spurs to the purchase of Fernando Llorente from Swansea in 2017, a player then coach Antonio Conte very much wanted.

It's funny that this Death Star club feels upset because we made a better offer to Swansea and Llorente.

Isn't Ornstein more of an Arsenal man, than a Spurs man?

Traditionally yes but he’s been decent for our info this window, though this seems to contradict rebrab who has had a better window than him so let’s see. Generally the athletic guys seem i ok as situational writers but I’m not convinced by their transfer reporting credentials. Case in point, they just hired the donut from Southampton who was insisting we weren’t getting Højbjerg for a penny less than £25m and he was more likely to go to Everton not long beforehand it broke that we’d got him for much less.
