Well everyone has different interpretation for positions. His strengths are all in that protective role and also a reason why we look so defensive when he plays alongside Dier/Wanyama. I think it's fair to say he isn't an attacking midfielder though considering he can't pass or shoot
But he’s never been a CDM. He’s played as a CM, RW and CAM at times. I think his first touch is too poor for this position: think of the pressure he’ll put us under. As a sub running down minutes and filling space, he’s just about ok. But that’s really it

I dont think he did, he just referred to him as a DCM which he is. He usually comes on to add a 2nd defensive option in midfield when we need to tighten up.

He isn't - he's a AM(R).

Despite looking like he has the skillset to be a DM, I think only once has he actually been brought on to play in that role. Fuck knows why he's seen as some sort of wing/wide player, as he is more suited to being a goalkeeper than that.

I dont think it was meant to be like that. Why Toby was offered a new contract if he was replaced?

So we wouldn't find ourselves in the situation we're in now where we might have to let him go next summer for £25m?

I hope everyone sees sense and allows this swap to happen.

I just dont think we should get too caught up on Herc referring to him as a DCM. I don't think he's suggesting he will play in the Dier/Wanyama role. Just that he plays in a 2 as we do when we go 4-2-3-1. I personally would call him a CM but just trying to explain what Herc may have meant by that.

Utd want to win the title, City and the scousers are their rivals, not us!
You don’t know how paranoid Jose is ! You not seen him lately he looks like he’s about to explode he could lose it big time if they don’t get the players he wants and Utd start badly.

Seriously he probably considers Burnley a rival right now

Maybe - I think he'd be best in that position, so can't rule out that he might be able to play that role - strong, fast and a decent tackler.

I mean, Dembele doesn't need to be able to take a shot to play that position...?
