The missile is our bid, Mutombo is United.
A man can dream, no?

This. It would be too easy for United to just sell for less than €60m or greater than €100m. No chance they have a donut hole so wide that they only get €30m-€50m of a fee €60m-€100m.
I haven't read the contract but I would be that Monaco would get 50% of any fee paid in excess of
60m only to the point it rises to 100m. Thus, Monaco would get 20m whether the transfer fee was 100m or 150m.

I must admit this is buy I wouldn't mind happening, but there's no way Jose will sanction him being sold to us, so it can only be a dream.

This will free them up to go for perisic and they might see it as building the bridge for a rose deal maybe even a gentleman's agreement

Don't care if this is realistic or not, if we can unsettle one of their players and create some dressing room havoc then it's about time we gave those entitled ***** some of their own medicine!

This is the type of signing that would take us to the next level going forward, and I'd assume that Jose knows this. Even he isn't that arrogant.

That being said, given that he seems very keen on Rose and/or Dier there is certainly a conversation to be had here, especially as Martial seems to be a rotation option for them.

Also if there is money for Martial and we can't get him there is money for someone else :D

Of all the players that we have been rumoured to make approaches for this is the one guy I think could really be that 'game changer' for us. Everything about him seems to be ideal to our set up...from his age , his current ability and the massive potential he would have under Poch's guidance. Jose hasn't the time or inclination to develop the younger squad members at Utd so if he does decide to let him go then it could well backfire big time on him and the rest of our Premiership title rivals this season or most definitely the one afterwards at the new stadium.
If there really is the slightest chance of him being tempted (and allowed) to join Spurs then let's do whatever is necessary to make it happen. (y)

It's like the old days thinking that Martial could join us!

He's just too perfect for what we are missing. And for that reason I'd be surprised to see Utd sell him to us, but Chelsea did that selling Matic to Utd.

Bringing in Martial, Barkley and Sanchez, what a window that would be.

I would happily sell Rose if we could get Sessegnon and Martial.

I think Martial is achievable. The market is changing. Big clubs are shifting big names to each other now. He would be a fantastic signing.

A sublime signing, but I seriously doubt that Mourinho would ever sell Martial to a title chaser..

For those, like me, that Shaw and Martial was viable, does anyone know why shaw didn't play at the weekend, didn't even make the bench. I've just seen that they are trying to sign Aurier, and don't they use Darmian at LB from time to time, so is Shaw injured or just out of favour? If he's that far out of favour, and Martial isn't a first choice starter, thus could be doable.
