Haven't posted in this yet, opinions are opinions so shouldn't really be that unpopular provided they are backed up with reason and not made up nonsense.

Sunday, I thought showed to be glaringly obvious, how much we miss Kyle Walker. Someone with a bit of blood in his tip who would have offered us the outlet/overlap down the right hand side that we so needed, and someone like a makeshift RB in Dier or a substandard one in Naughton isn't able to offer.

Walker has his faults, but he's worth a lot to us.

People saying this is the best Spurs squad for generations need to put the pipe down and wake up.

Despite not having good games yesterday, Ade and Eriksen are our best players and if they get injure we are fucked.

Concentrating purely on defence this transfer window is a big mistake.

Not going to get any 'agrees' for this, but Sherwood had had six months to ind out what Poch learnt about our squad yesterday, and if he was still in charge we would have come out of this window stronger. Poch may or may not be the better coach, but changing managers mid stream always meant this season would be a write off.

Since I can post unpopular thoughts in here without getting crushed here we go:

We have a squad full of decent players but lack any real quality

I haven't seen anything in Capoue that suggests he is a guaranteed first teamer

We lack pace

We won't be in the top 6 in terms of goals scored this season since

We don't have enough goalscorers

Eriksen isn't Modric

Our transfer policy is all wrong. Teams with weaker players can overcome other teams by having a plan that uses more intelligence than 'lets buy all the best players.'

Man Utd for years were the best team in the league despite being outspent by Chelsea.

In the early 90s Arsenal had the best defence through them playing together for years despite Dixon and Winterburn not being anything special.

This is the model we need to follow. An intelligent individual signing here and there that fits our needs would make for better strides forward than what we currently do.

Trying to compete solely through the transfer market against teams with a higher budget makes no sense at all.

I'm not sure if Eriksen is the player we all desperately want him to be.

I don't know if he simply needs a better platform, but I'm not sure he's created enough considering he's supposed to be our main midfield creative force.

Lamela is just a showpony.

He lacks any kind of football intelligence which is why he often makes the same mistake repetitively and also often makes the wrong decision when on the ball.

There are teams in every division who say that, teams in League two who's fans think maybe falling out of the league will bring back the days of proper fans and proper support, it never happens.

We are signing too many new players. Again
we signed 1 guy who isn't going to play for us this season, 4 back up players and 1 first team signing

Man Utd signing about 8 first team players
Chelsea signed about 3 first team players and 2 back up players
Liverpool signed 10 players

Lets start signing players that improve our first 11 rather players to replace back up players

i happen to think Hugo Lloris is the most overrated goalkeeper i have ever seen wear a Tottenham Hotspur shirt & in his career at us has made more Errors than Heurelho Gomes did but just because the actual errors didn't look as comical he doesn't get the blame when in reality he has terrible kicking & gets caught out being a sweeper keeper too often & has terrible distribution & finally is actually an average shot stopper.

I might be the only one but i actually miss Gomes as our keeper he made 7-8 errors in a 3 season Spurs basicially & because they was high profile errors everyone seemed to have forgotten he was actually a world class shot stopper and we hardly conceded from corners when he was actually in goal but now everytime we have a corner against us i brick it because no other goalkeeper we have tries to come to the ball...

There i finally said it.
