Have you always supported Spurs, or was there a time you supported someone else before you saw the light?

I was born into my team and a Yid for life!

Yup, been a fan since 1981 and proud of it! My brother, on the other hand is a Utd fan but went via Villa first, so he gets a fair bit of stick about that.

Me father used to take me to Highbury on smokey smoggy evenings c.1965 to watch AFC 'cos it meant walking up Church St and through Clissold Park to get to N5, I didn't like it and noooo-one ever copies their Dad do they?

In the late 60's when Spurs were playing away I usually took a trek from Stoke Newington down Leabridge Rd to the Leyton Orient ground.

West Side boy... 1/6d to get in Brisbane Rd with prog, THFC = 2/6d no prog !

Born and bred Yiddo!

Basically my Dad has always been a big fan, he used to 'knock about' with a lot of the old team (Jennings, Venables and the like) and was lucky enough to meet Sir Bill Nic. He was a season ticket holder during the times of the double winning team etc. When I was born I had Spurs engraved in to me, my earliest memories are of us watching Spurs games and I've never known it any other way.

I had times where I lost interest in football a bit, i.e. when I started caring more about the 'fittest boys' at school and so on, and during those times I wouldn't really follow Spurs intensely but for the past 23 years they've been my team!!

I'm Tottenham till I die

Always been a Spurs fan. My dad started supporting them when they won the double (glory hunter), so we've been raised as Spurs fans although my younger brother is an Everton fan, even though he was named after Glenn Hoddle & Jimmy Greaves, Glenn James. My older brother's middle name is Tottenham.
Being from up North it was quite difficult to really be a true fan so didn't really follow them much in my early years, although whenever asked who I supported it was always Spurs. Once I hit about 13 I became more interested & my dad started taking us to games. Since I started earning my own money I go as often as I can.
I also had a garter made for my wedding day with Tottenham Hotspur on it to surprise my husband, lets just say it wasn't a good surprise for him, him being an Evertonian an all.
Oh & that'll make me a fan of Spurs for 28 years.

The Tottenham family "owned" vast estates in Ireland two hundred years ago and a few places names are still associated with them

Being able to say 'Tottenham is my middle name.' would be so cool. If only it were possible to dye your blood blue and white as well.

blood is blue...

it's only red when mixed with oxygen.

so in that sense...we're not just Tottenham till we die...we're Tottenham when we're dead as well :)

My Uncle is a hardcore Tottenham fan and as a small boy, would take me to the lane to watch Spurs. Been a Yid ever since! Much to my old mans annoyance who is a Millwall fan....Hehehe

Ever since I was about 6. My grandfather, my Dad, his uncle, my brother, my cousin all Spurs fans. I jsut about remember watching th 67 final on TV and my brother coming back from Wembley telling me all about it. My first match was in 1968 I was taken to Loftus Road to see us draw 1-1 with QPR. Jimmy Greaves scored a dodgy goal.

My wife was a Leeds fan but I slowly converted her. My younger daughter did follow Manure, but has seen the light, so much so her boyfriend is a Yid.

another 3rd generation Yido - my grandad was involved with Spurs during the war and the club sent flowers to his funeral a couple of years back.

My dad was a fan, though once he got older he stopped going to games, i think mainly because of the amount of violence going on at the time.

My dad is Man Utd & took me to a lot of games when I was growing up, but it was always Spurs for some reason. I think it was the 1991 semi final that did it, I was only 5 then though.

My old man brought us up as Yids from the start, plus we lived next door to Pat Jennings' daughter and used to see him quite often and talk about the club. So as a kid it was quite exciting knowing that an ex-footballer's daughter lives next door.

Came to London in the late 1970s aged 10 and have followed Spurs since. As someone said already, before that there was nothing.

All my Mum's side of the family were Yids, all from Enfield, my Mum lived with my Great Aunt and Uncle who moved to Worksop in the 70's.

Had a choice when i was a kid, Sheff Utd (Dad's team) or the mighty Spurs.

Best decision i ever made.

There was no-one before and there'll never be anyone else!

Always Spurs.

Also always whatever team is playing Arsenal that day!

Strangely, my old man has no interest in footy at all so it was my Mum and her family that converted me as a kid.

I remember the 81 and 82 finals and thought I was set for life, this team seem to win every year!

How wrong I was.

I started supporting Spurs when I was 6, earliest memeory was watching the 87 cup final with my mum, i don't remember much (apart from thinking Brian Kilcline looked like an evil monster and I still hate him to this day) but I do remember saying to my Dad when he got in from the game that night that I wanted to start going with him to the games. There can't be many people who decide to support a team after watching them LOSE a cup final!

when i was looking for a team i was tempted with blackburn mostly because of shearer (and their premier league win) but no worries i soon realised teddy sheringham, jurgen klinsmann and then les ferdinand were the better strikers

cant say i was ever a fan of blackburn just as a kid you take ages to decide on a team or its that way for the majority

spurs since and would never change that
