But when you've been linked with Martial for months, it is still quite disappointing.

I actually rate him, he’s incredibly raw and would offer pace, power, and trickery on the wing.
He’s much better suited to the league than N’jie, and Nkoudou were.

However If he was our only wing forward signing it would be incredibly underwhelming.

Can see why we would be interested... he's got pace and strength, along with good finishing. At that price he could be a coup

But Martial is more skillful and would provide us with a lot more unpredictability than Plea...

I have not seen him play. What worries me are our history with recruitment from Ligue 1, it has been abysmal. But hopefully this turn out the opposite if it happens. He is 25 though so not that young.

Has it been confirmed that Plea is definitely a Martial alternative? I haven't watched a lot of him since his injury.

I wouldn't be surprised if the club were going for the cheap punt option yet again but it is conceivable that he's simply a Llorente replacement.

Still, it'd be pretty pointless to bring Plea in if we were getting Martial.

I really don't see a way you fit Plea and Martial into a team. They are both left sided forwards who can do a job up top if they need to but are best as the second alongside a true striker.
