After 10 years at Spurs I think it's time for hm to move on. He's got excellent work rate but offensively he's not improved since he was 18 really. And he's first and foremost an attacking player.
But if the ITK is true - i.e. that he want to stay even if he's not getting playing time - it will be hard to get him sold though. Hope ITK is wrong on this.
£8-10M should be a fair price for him.

We'd be lucky to get £3m at his age imo.

No we could likely still swing over five, and closer to ten. He's a Prem-proven English winger with bags of experience at this point, and he isn't that old.
27, I thought he was nearly or already 30.
Crikey, he's still got time for a growth spurt lol.

The key though is that that is debatable, and Townsend is four years younger. Who knows what he could become in that much time?

Yeah I apprecaite that and I accept Lennon is as good as he's going to get. I just don't rate Townsend and don't think he will become the player that some think he will.

Fair enough. I still hold some hope, and he is still relatively young enough to be molded.

Not for me, I've always been a keen supporter of keeping him but he's had enough chances now, nobody can say he hasnt had plenty TBF. At 23/24 its time to call it a day and give Pritchard a chance IMO.

I don't think they're direct competition tbh, as each prefer different sides. And I disagree, I don't think he's yet received a fair chance on the back of consistency.

Pritchard is a modern AM, he can play across 'the 3' so I wouldnt label him with a 'side' at the moment. On Townsend, mate, every time he starts a match I consider that a chance, but he just hasnt taken one. Like Rose his technique/touch just isnt quite of the level needed IMO.

Those are indeed chances, but as I said I don't believe he's yet had a "fair chance," which I believe includes a consistent run. That having been said, I think it entirely understandable if you disagree on both the player, and whether or not his chance has been sufficient enough. Frankly don't even have an argument against it myself.

Yes Pritch can indeed play across the three, but the fact remains he has a different preferred foot and different preferred position than Townsend, so again I don't believe they are to the direct competition of each other. Both can potentially play at the same time and thrive in a Spurs side. And ftr, I'm all for Pritch being integrated into the first team setup very soon. Was delighted he saw even those few minutes against Villa last season.

I'm thinking one last loan could be an option, because the thing is, he isnt going to get any better sitting on the bench so it's a bit of a 'Catch 22' situation. It would be sad for me to see him go, but I think we need a clear-out mate, and more interestingly I think we need a clear-out of this weak mentality that seems to have spread through our squad. Not singling out Andros for this speciffically, but in order to instill a new mentality I think we will need to shift a hefty chunk of the squad,

Yeah I certainly agree with you there. I don't include Townsend in that group though, as he's one of our few players who seems to passionately give a toss when he comes on, and while he has massive room to improve he's at least aggressive and takes responsibility to have a go, while so many others seem petrified of getting over the ball and taking a chance.

That having been said though, if Poch disagrees with me and we get an offer him in a period of aggressively trying to overhaul and improve, you won't see me pitching a fit.
