Almost too many to write.
I think if there was one WTF moment for me it was letting Sheringham go for £3.5m. When Teddy left I thought we were making a mistake but I accepted he was 32 and £3.5m was good money back then. And then we go and sign Les Ferdinand for £6m. Absolutely crazy. There have been so many nearly good teams, but I'd have loved to have seen Teddy and Ginola in the same side and had Teddy known we were signing Ginola he may well have stayed.
I was disappointed when Campbell left but I wasn't gutted like so many as I thought he was really over rated (and his mate Carr). But when he went to Arsenal on that free transfer my mood changed completely. What a two faced lying ****.
When you look back one of things that is most frustrating for Spurs fans is that we do attract great players. Even during the turgid 90's we still had the likes of Lineker, Gazza, Sheringham, Klinsmann, Campbell and Ginola. When you think how many of our players go on to win titles and cups at other clubs, that's what hurts. No point daydreaming about what might have been but every now and then I catch myself thinking what if we'd kept Carrick and Berbatov and then added Bale and Modric etc.
