The odd thing is, sometimes I think Rose is both those options simultaneously.
Liability option please.
Has more drive and determination than Davies but he makes ridiculous challenges for fun.
Davies is worse though so make of it what you will.
Nothing to see here.
Bar one very good cross and making rose look like a dog he didn't do that much in terms of being effective.Thought Jordon Ibe was very very good 9/10 (MOTM). Rose was given the run around. But thought taking it all into consideration Danny did well.
Sadly Danny boy isn't a good as he thinks he is. He's steady at best and more dangerous going forward than Benny was but we need a better LB imo.
Can't take a throw-in neither...The downside though would be Walker at right wing back as he has little end product after marauding forward.

he really should be used as a left winger. cant see why so many managers want him as left back.My problem with Rose.......I'll only name one, if he is going to attack and speed up the wing then he must be prepared to do the same to defend. Last night he lost the plot and decided to amble back on many occasion.

A defender primary job is to defend
Fat chest is not very good at it,...doesn't matter how good he is going forward
It's like playing a useless bowler because he can bat a bit
It's not the 1970's anymore. I think it's arguably more important that Rose and Walker look to improve their attacking game than their defensive one. I don't think it's any coincidence that we've become a much more attacking threat with Rose and particularly Walker back in the team...
A defender's primary job is to defend, yes, when his team don't have the ball, but when we do have the ball, it's these guys jobs to stretch the pitch.
Considering we tend to have more possession in games than we do without it, you'd be hard pushed to convince me that we would be better off with more traditional defenders in the team. We wouldn't be playing as close to as well as we are if our full backs got nosebleeds upon crossing the halfway line.
