He's ridiculously boring!!! You must have noticed that the only time he ever really gets game time is when citeh play the bigger teams, ie munich and tonight Barca. They put him in as he defends well! The one thing we dont need is another defensive minded player!
Before we know it we're going to have a team full of David "pass the ball sideways" Battys!!!
And we don't need any tactically disciplined players to help us play the big teams, do we? 6-0, 5-1, 4-0, 4-0...

After a great pre season with no players leaving and a new LB signed we go on a long unbeaten run and we all live happily ever after:D

Scenario 2: We stick with Sherwood, he fires to a great start and by Christmas we are 2nd, 3 points off the top but with 2 games in hand. Levy annoyed that he has made a net spend of minus £20m pulls the trigger and leaves an inexperienced Les Ferdinand in charge and we plummet down the league again.

Meanwhile Tim takes over at Swindon, brings them into the Premier League with youth players from Tottenham's academy and achieves a 5th place spot in his first Premier League Season

Before you start reading, I would like to state that I am neither pro or anti Sherwood. I simply want the club to do well.

Scenario 1

We finish the season in 6th position, qualifying once again for the Europa (Due to Citeh winning the League Cup I believe the place in the competition is then allocated to the league 5th & 6th)
Levy decides that Tim should be given more time and takes a chance on him, begrudgingly letting LVG slip through the net.
The World cup comes along, Belgium play well and Vertonghen has a stormer. The summer is spent with speculation that Lloris and Vertonghen will move on to so called bigger clubs, Levy eventually gives in on the last day of the transfer window and both players move on, bringing in a nice profit. Due to missing out on the targets that Tim actually wanted we end up signing Lescott and Milner, along with a young up and comer in Danny Ings (Tim has a good feeling about Dan). Tim convinces Brad to stay on for another year to be a "character" Archer becomes no 2.
We start the season, Tim fields more young blood in an attempt to put his mark on the history of spurs. Come November Spurs are sitting 7th in the league, Ade is back in the reserves after securing an extension to his already ridiculous contract. Lennon has started every game and has 1.5 assists and 1 disallowed goal to his name.
Walker has the highest attempted/failed cross ratio in Europe, he is removed from his CAM position and put back into defence, where he continues to add to his failed cross ratio.
Rose plays every third game, trying to catch Walkers cross ratio.
Lamela is still out wit a poorly back/thigh/toe/foot/finger
I could go on about the players but we all know what happens.
November is coming to an end, our football is getting worse, Levy calls in Tim and tells him that it isn't working out. Tim blames the players, Levy isn't having it. Tim then panics and blames it on the canteen staff. Tim and spurs part ways and Levy is looking for yet another manager.
Levy calls numerous top managers and is told that although they would like a nice big bumper pay off after only 6 months in charge, they have a reputation to protect.
levy decides to call in Brad "character" Friedel. Friedel agrees to become the new manager but won't settle for anything less than a 19 month contract, he isn't going to get done in the same way that Tim did.
The season fades away and we once again treat it as a "transitional period"
Fast forward 8 months and repeat........

In the mean time, LVG has taken over as the manager of Newcastle. Newcastle finish fourth, playing exciting football whilst introducing numerous unknown youth players that no one has ever heard of.

Scenario 2

This is where you come in. What are the alternatives????
Nice, balanced post. Sherwood would love it.

Best bit was ''I'm not anti-Sherwood''...

Looking forward to your thread when you do go off him.:D

I think it was more an all round dig at spurs rather than just Sherwood.
I'd love nothing more than Tim to succeed, the thing is, I really can't see it. If we take a chance on him that means we miss out on Lvg, which I think will be the biggest mistake that we have made in some time!

Lamela to score a screamer last minute of the season to put us into 4th.

Sig remembers he's a footballer and bangs 3 goals in and 3 assists to round the season out.

King comes out of retirement to play the final 5 games, Tim gets sacked and King announced manager on a 13 year contract.

I am not against Lvg, but my gut tells me it might not be as great as some think...could be a great success ofc, but he seems the type that could walk out after chinning someone.

Frank DB is my first choice, i like what he has done, the way his team plays, his loyalty to Ajax, speaks fluent english, a former great player who is doing really well in his first managerial job playing a system i think would suit our group of players...

LVG comes in and re-signs Rafa to be a player assistant manager to groom him for future management roll at Spurs to help establish a Rafa Spurs Dysnasty that lasts for the next 1000 years....all is well again..

That is literally my dream scenario.

With vdv being player/assistant manager so we can roll him out in the nld to score a couple vs the gooners

I get what your saying about Lvg, but I think thats what our team needs. Like Tim said they all want to be mates.
I know Tim is trying to get their respect by outing them to the media (????) But he just doesn't command the type of respect that say Lgv would!
I'd like to see FDB come in after Lvg is done with us. In an ideal world Lvg could come, stabilise us, make us attractive to other top managers.
Lvg does his stint in premier league, has relative success and makes us more appealing. In comes FDB to follow on Lvg ground work!
Like I said, in an ideal world
More likely that Tim stays on, gets sacked halfway through next season and we go for the next big up and comer (who fails)

Could have just said that in one of the Sherwood or next Spurs manager threads.

Rather than just saying here's 2 scenario's but presenting only one anti Sherwood one and not even bothering with the second one.

May: Spurs finish 7th after 4-0 defeats to Arsenal and Liverpool and being dumped out of Europe. Tim Sherwood calls half the squad out to the car park for a rumble, and is hospitalised by Sandro's Brazilian ju jitsu round house kicks. Sherwood is sacked by text while in his hospital bed.

July: WC has finished with Brazil beating Argentina in the final. Paulinho get's MOM and is sold to Barcelona for £30m. Man Utd sack David Moyes and appoint Louis Van Gaal as manager and finally sign Wesley Sneijder and Daniel De Rossi. Levy appoints Fabio Cappello to come in and work with Franco Baldini. They immediately sign James Milner, Javi Hernandez and Mario Balotelli.

January: Fabio and Franco have been sacked after 10 consecutive 1-0 victories, because despite actually having one of the best records for a manager so far the fans are bored and want "tottenham football". Mario Balotelli is in the reserves after accidentally chopping off Adebayors left foot while driving a stolen lawn mower around the training grounds. "Why always me?" he whines. Levy rehires Martin Jol. Milner becomes the new fans scapegoat.

May: Jol gets Spurs to 4th place, Soldado is top scorer with 16 goals. Dawson gets voted player of the year... again.

It was actually meant to be seen as a bit of a piss take! I'm not having ago at Tim directly, I guess you think that I'm also having a dig at Fiedel too? I thought I'd try and lighten the mood with all the doom and gloom that currently surrounds spurs. Scenario 2 was to get others involved!
If you'd like me to add a scenario 2 I can?

Scenario 2

Tim stays in charge. After a decade of success at spurs Tim takes over the England team. England become the dominant power in world football and Tim is knighted! !!
Is that less anti Tim enough for you?
