I get we didn't really trouble Fabianksi, but you don't think some of the approach play through the lines was good football last night? Genuinely curious, as I thought the midfield functioned a lot better and we found ourselves in positions to put the ball in the box. It was just that final pass or decision which let us down.
Indeed between the boxes we played pretty well on the whole. Of course it's in the boxes that count, but there have certainly been positives since the Fulham game and it's nowhere near as bad as some are making out.

It's around now that we start to get the classic what if team x do y does that mean top 4 won't get a CL place etc etc
I don't know if I'm the first but I was wondering whether if West Ham win the Europa League and the PL has gained the 5th place would they allow 6 teams in to the CL ?

Yes in that situation there are 6 English teams in the CL

Aston Villa drew with west ham the same as us right? They're a tough team to play. I really don't get the concern with the result/performance yesterday.

We were excellent for the first 30-35 minutes yesterday and still dominated most of the second half. Moyes is a very experienced manager. With the way West Ham got mugged off by Newcastle in their fixture before there was no way he was gonna let them concede a lot of goals again. They are team totally in his image and one of the hardest teams in the league to beat at their place - especially when they are in full bus parking mode.

A point is decent whichever way you slice it imo.

As much as it pains me to say it, I don't see Arsenal having any issues getting past Bayern over two legs
I am not fussed who wins to be honest. Arsenal win is good for 5th Champions league spot and Kane ending up with nowt. Bayern winning is good to make Arsenal fans suffer lol. I am just about us and only us till the end of season

Yes agreed. When we move the ball well and are playing front foot I really do think we look a very good team. We waste a lot of opportunities (which different to missing sitters) to create really golden chances but I think the manager is well aware of that. I think it was largely a good performance with some poor bits to it.

You've seen that confirmed somewhere?
Yes in UEFA’s rules for next season. Our possible 5th place position is not affected by the Europa winner as that 5th place spot is awarded regardless to the two highest coefficient leagues.

it is possible for a league to have 7 CL places in one season. Top 4, Europa winner, 5th place spot and CL winner (if they managed to finish outside of top 5)

Ten Hag really irritated me after beating Liverpool in the cup when he was smiling as he talked about us and Villa dropping points. Since then they have dropped five points in two games in which they were ahead going into stoppage time. Concentrate on your own team ya bald wanker!

So do we need West Ham and Arsenal to win against German opponents?

What happens if they both get knocked out and Bayern and Leverkusen win their respective cups. Does 5th still have a chance of UCL? How far would we need City, Liverpool and Villa to get in that scenario?

I think we will most likely need one of West Ham or Arsenal to win their respective ties, otherwise it's going to be very tight.

It didn't bother me as I knew it would come back to bite him.

And it has bitten him big time! Hopefully Liverpool rub it in even more on Sunday. They will have some fire in their bellies to right that quarter final wrong and United will probably look to park a bus or two even at home.
