Is this going to shit for United once again?

Think Rashford was a bit unlucky, or careless more like, with the red. But Copenhagen scoring immediately after makes it interesting.

I do think these types of red cards need to be evaluated - I'd like to see some kind of intent or real recklessness before a sending off. In this case Rashford clearly not trying to do anything dangerous - just shield the ball, and a bit unlucky that the Copenhagen player gets his leg in there first. A foul? sure. But, I would prefer to see that as a YC and not red.

Goldbridge now says we're "overrefereeing the game" and it shouldn't be a red because the ref didn't see it... he's going to lose his mind when he works out the entire fucking r'aison d'etre of VAR.

I've been sent clips of him.

My gripe is not necessarily "over-refereeing" but I think we need to do two things:

First, use the AI version of offside - where it gives an instantaneous answer. Everyone lives with that call.

Second, no use of slo-mo, or still shots, on red card or Pen decisions. Run the video at normal speed, and from different angles, and make the same call we would expect in real time during the game.

Bit of an odd Wednesday thought from me. But taking a page from Rugby and their upgrade from yellow to red system, wouldn’t this be a thing to trial. Far too many reds given for players to then run around seemingly fine seconds later. Too many decisions given without too much thought and common sense

Sevilla are so slow and sloppy
They really aren't very good. Bottom half in La Liga for the second year running. Only competition they perform in is the Europa League so I'm not putting it past them to actually target third place instead of top two.

don’t understand this “unlucky” comment about the Rashford red. It was dangerous and the usual argument of Could’ve broken his leg. Whether intentional or not

Martinelli is a good player but what a diving prick and I cannot understand how the refs fall for it? Touched his toe and he goes down like he has been hit by a bus.
