Can't lie I think we need to sell in the summer due to injuries not lack of talent.

But open to a : Sarr
Lo Celso
Maddison

Midfield against Luton. One last dance

I really like Lo Celso, just such a shame he can't stay fit, always seems to do well for Argentina and has shown plenty of capability when he has played for us, just seems to get injured every time he gets a run of games. Frustrating for him too I'm sure.

Regardless what happens to him next season there is zero reason he hasn’t been utilised more over the last few games. He’s obviously currently fit yet barely making it onto the pitch. I’d maybe understand if Maddison had been playing well but he hasn’t.

Come summer I get there will probably be a conversation about Gio but in the interim he can still be a very useful player imo.

Agreed. He won us a couple of games when maddison was out with some incredible creativity and some great goals. He absolutely has a part to play hopefully these internationals improve his match fitness and ange uses him

He's clearly shown that if he's played, he produces.

Injuries have been a big issue but it's very frustrating to not have seen him on the pitch more when he's been fit, particularly when plenty of other players have been off form. He got 2 goals and 2 assists in the 4 games he's actually started for us this season. I mean we're so dumb we actually loaned him out for two whole seasons when he was relatively fit FFS.

What has Maddison done recently to get into the midfield 3?
Not same player since injury.
Both Bentancur and LoCelso deserve a run.

I think Maddison has been slow to get going since the injury for sure, but some irony in saying Bentancur deserves a start . Not the same player since his injury?

I'm starting Maddsion because if he clicks , we click.

Sell him while his stock is still reasonably high and buy a top class RW.

Move Kulu inside to deputise/provide competition for Maddison.

Yeah, Id like to see Lo Celso given more minutes. He can’t be that much of a downgrade from our current midfield starters and primary subs. Give him a proper chance. If nothing else, it will raise his profile, especially if he plays well.

I find it odd, as he has a lot of attributes Ange values: work ethic, presses hard, technical skill, good range of passing and an eye for goal. Yet, be it injuries or otherwise, this guy has never been given a run of games to find rhythm and showcase his potential.

If the usual suspects start lethargically against Luton, I hope Ange has the courage to sit them down at HT and give someone else a chance who might be biting at the bit to play.

I was at the Bournemouth home game, who played well.

Gio was the best player on the pitch (and Sarr)

His first time through ball for Son's goal was exquisite.

Was extremely dissappointed he wasnt used against Fulham its obvious Maddison isnt at his best level yet.

Maddison, Bentancur and Bissouma should all be fighting for their places. Giving Gio some game time would light a fire under all of them. No idea why he hasn't been given any chance when the other 3 have been hit and miss (mainly miss) for weeks. Hojbjerg seems to have the midfield sub nailed down, whatever the circumstances.

I'd like to see Bentancur, Kulusevski and Lo Celso again. They looked so good at home to Villa before Bentancur got injured.

We’ve been wanting to sell for a while now, no high offers have come in.

He’ll likely move on in the summer, but the fee won’t be that high.

Good player but needs to go for as much as we can get for him. Can't stay fit and isn't suited to the Premier League in my opinion.

Totally agree mate, one of very few criticisms I have of Ange is the lack of minutes Lo Celso has got recently.

He’s a class little player.

Seems like the writing is on the wall that we will move him on this summer unfortunately. His injuries have been frustrating but no reason why he’s not been given more minutes by Ange more recently and when he has played especially when Maddison was out, Gio was consistently good.
