Lloris
Aurier Toby Sanchez Davies
Skipp
Lo Celso Ndombele
Bergwijn Kane Son

Dele banned and Dier probably still to receive a ban so they're out of the squad. Essentially a 433, with Lo Celso and Ndombele expected to help out defensively in midfield but in a position to break quickly. If Lamela is 100% fit then he could start instead to add some extra bite. Likewise Jose might think he needs to sacrifice one of Lo Celso or Ndombele for a bit more midfield rigidity in Sissoko. I think these attacking players have the edge over Lucas and Gedson.

Surprised so many people aren’t including Moura in their starting line ups, not because I think he deserves to be but more so because it feels like he’s the first name on Jose’s teamsheet.

Moura was in horrible form when things got postponed but hopefully he can come back for the restart in good goalscoring form.

I think knowing Jose it will be Kane up top with Son and Moura either side of him and Lamela in the hole behind with Sissoko and Winks as the midfield 2.

I'd do something different but I reckon that's what Jose will do, assuming Lamela doesn't get crocked in the next week

Edit: to add assuming no Gio, Dier and we know there's no Alli

I think it might play Sissoko on the right of the front free and leave out little Steve

Jose will play Sissoko and Winks in midfield...Bergwign, Ndombele and Son behind Kane.

Want to see GLC in CM and Tanguy at CAM behind Kane. Son on the left.
Rest more or less whatever.

The dread has started to creep in every time I think about who is going to line up in central midfield. We are in just such a mess in that position. I don’t like any of our options in there.

McTominay Pogba Fernandes

That’s better than all our options and leaves me really worried for the battle in the middle of the park.

People will moan about the style of play but if there’s one game where we need to go long and bypass the midfield it’s this one.

Think Sissoko will play mainly because of his fitness levels. Could see one of Kane or son on the bench to give us freshness later on.

Is Tanganga our best option at LB, ahead of Davies or Sess? Seems like a weak point in the team, otherwise I like what I see

Aurier (sigh)
Toby
Sanchez
Davies
Winks
Dier
GLC
Lucas
Kane
Son

Some energy off the bench second half. Those 3 in midfield is the only way I see us getting near to their midfield.

Bring on Lucas/Bergwijn from the bench. Maybe Sissoko or Winks if we need a bit more control in the middle or cover for Aurier.

The thing with Lamela starting is that he always gets a yellow card and then that leaves us in bother

Doubt it, Kane and Son are our two best players so see Mourinho chucking them straight back in.
