The reality is, the squad has been allowed to go to seed.

We might bring on Eriksen or something pick this player for that and on the odd occasion they'll produce something but the regularity of these insipid performances is telling. Over the course of the season, we are a mid-table side at best. This squad needs serious surgery.

At this rate and watching the shite served up week in week out, the quicker we get to 40 points, the more relaxed I'll be.

Probably never seen a more static front four tyan ours have been today, could put in 300 creative players in midfield and there still wouldn't be anyone to play the ball to. Shit show.

Why are we not playing Foyth (RB), Lo Celso (Att) and Nodembele (Mid). Depressing stuff at minute. Captain Kane needs to step up.

Great, both players get picked, both of whom have taken part in similar or worse performances and as we have previously seen loads of people start moaning about them too

FFS Ndombele, FFS Lo Celso

That'll work.
Well we need to try something different. GLC has barely had a game with the first team. He can't be worse than Winks.

Agree, exactly what I said after the Chelsea game we have a mid table squad now.

Winks has been good put a pathetic attempt to win the ball conceded the goal
He didn’t even touch the player ffs so it was a wrong call. Also it was one of those situations where tactically we were left wanting as winks has to run back and put out a fire created by others.

The replays show that as such a blatant dive for their freekick and the yellow for Winks. The linesman on that side should be ashamed.

Why is that not reviewed by VAR? It’s a clear and obvious mistake that leads to a goal scoring chance. I don’t understand.

Don’t even know where to start in analysing it because problems with the squad have been building for years, and it’s difficult to know where to pin the blame in terms of either Poch or Levy for that. But both are certainly to blame to differing extents.

As far as Mourinho is concerned, clearly he’s not the manager he once was. He’s shown encouraging signs but the performances we’re putting in are distressing. I don’t think getting obsessed over team selections is particularly helpful because it’s more akin to rearranging deckchairs on the titanic at this point, and subbing in Lo Celso (who is not playing well) is not some sort of panacea.

We're certainly sub par, especially if we want to win the league, but it's not a complete shambles.

Two individual mistakes have cost us and we've had a goal disallowed for a 1 inch offside. Brighton haven't done too much else tbh.

The main problem, as highlighted by others, is our midfield 2; they're just not good enough and also don't suit each other's playing styles. They're not completely shocking players, but we need added quality if Mourinho is going to achieve anything for us.

Anyway, all to play for in the second half...
