If we let this guy see what Camden or Wood Green looks like, the deal's dead in the water.

That said, Dele lives in Elstree. Apparently it’s the nice bit according to Mrs Stoof-to-be.

I told her to stop going to his bloody house even if it is in the nice bit.

Cant help but think the amount of Argentines we have at the club and our history with the countrys players makes us an attractive proposition for their players. Currently we have what? Poch managing, and playing we have Gazzaniga, Foyth and Lamela... can see that being attractive for other Argentinians looking at the prem league.

Lots of plus points for Spurs right now.

London based
Best Stadium in Europe
Best training facilities in the Prem
Team full of fellow countrymen if your an Argie
Managers a fellow countryman

Must definitely have a huge draw now on convincing players of Dybala calibre to sign for us! Would imagine that would also help persuade Lo Celso too!

A further report in today’s Gazzetta Dello Sport suggests that Dybala has asked for €12m plus bonuses and another €15m commission for agent Jorge Antun.
Alonsgide this, the players former agents Star Image have reportedly contacted United and warned against a transfer as they are currently in legal action against Dybala for breach of contract after he left them for a new agency in 2017.
The agreement between La Joya and Star Image was signed for 10 years, menaing future image rights could potentially reach a higher amount.
Star Image are reportedly preparing to file paperwork with the International Chamber of Commerce later this week which could result in a liability of up to €40m for Dybala.

Legally speaking, will the buying club have those liabilities or solely between new agent and the player?

There’s a lot not right about these reports.

The International Chamber of Commerce offers voluntary dispute resolution through arbitration. In other words the ICC will only consider the case if Dybala agrees and he certainly would not agree if the amount at stake was as reported.

Further the fact that Star Image are considering arbitration rather than pursuing a legal case which Dybala could not avoid suggests that they are not confident in their case.

The amount claimed sounds excessive. Let’s suppose that Dybala’s image is worth a 5% royalty on the products it is used to promote, then to earn £40m would require sales of £800m which seems ludicrously high.

Finally, English law does not recognise image rights. If someone thinks their image is being misused to promote products then they have to sue for “passing off” ie pretending that the product has been endorsed when it hasn’t. As the standard EPL contract provides only that the player allow the club to use his image to promote the club and club branded products then there is no way a passing off action could succeed.
