Really feel sorry for him, hope he can get fit and still forge a decent career somewhere…
It's a shame it's not working out for him. This was his season to try to show the new manager he had something to offer.
If he is to have a football career then he needs to move on this summer.
I have no idea where he goes.To where? I doubt anyone is going to sign him to sit in their treatment room.
I think the best case scenario is that he manages to recover from his latest set back and a team takes a chance at signing him on loan in the summer. But even that would difficult to do as clubs have limited loan options and it will be a risk to take one of the spots up with a player who can't keep fit.
I have no idea where he goes.
But he has history of excelling in the Championship and for England under 21s.
I don’t believe interest in him will be zero.
I doubt a Championship team will be able to commit to signing him on his likely high wages. That also goes for teams on the continent.Plus the physical demands in the Championship aren’t as severe as the EPL. There’s several players who have excelled in the Championship but ultimately flop in the EPL. I’m sure they would rather be a Championship player stand out, earning a decent salary and being fit enough to play week in week out as opposed to being in the EPL and spending the majority of their contract in the treatment room. Alternatively they may succeed in top flight football abroad where the style of play is much slower with less risk of suffering substantial muscle injuries.
I came here to echo your sentiment. This sadly feels like an early retirement scenario to me now.
Unclear, I thought it was 5 with an option some 6.In the summer Ryan will have been here 5 years. Poss he signed for 5 with a years option, which we often do. Decision to be made. Would hope they could keep him on if recovery is possible.
Anyone know his contract situation.
Would hope they could keep him on if recovery is possible.
Suspected hamstring injury on the other leg that he had just recovered from. He had to leave on crutches according to ally gold,Do we know why he had to come off?
Agree, have been thinking the same lately. He needs to be looked after well from now on especially.gotta look after this lad, i could only imagine what he's going through mentally.
don't want him to go through what Dele did, could care less about his footballing tbh
