Football punditry in the UK is hilarious. Bloke who lasted 6 games in League 2 after hammering his players is tonight lead pundit on MOTD 2. Granted he had a good playing career but where’s the consequence for being a horrible prick.

I thought it was Carragher. At least on the clip I watched it seemed to be.
It was carragher referencing what neville said to stir the pot.

Speaking on Sky Sports, the former Manchester United man said: "I think these coaches have taken a Pep Guardiola idea and made it quite ineffective.

"There is no doubt there is a balance between the risk and reward, but Spurs need to adapt."

Postecoglou then appeared to reference Neville's remark with a comical response to questions about his use of full-backs. When asked about his full-backs on TNT Sports, the Spurs boss said: "I just copied Pep mate! We do a lot of work on it.

I swear it was about 3 weeks ago when Neville was saying you didnt know what youd get with this United team and really laid into them. Like he was done with it.

I get he is a fan so will look for positive signs like us all but surely he should just be hoping that United keep this form.

They are only 1 defeat from disaster.

As for Keane, when we played United he Said "People need to calm down about Tottenham".

I actually said he is always going to play down form cause thats who he is but where is that energy for United?

Why is he not maintaining that energy and saying United need to beat a big team or 2 to start to get Carried away?

They have beaten West Ham (who got smashed 6-0 today) and Villa who are in poor form.

That does not call for teams to be quaking in their boots.

Besides, we are going to be focused on catching Arsenal and getting away from Villa.

We did just beat a very good Brighton team, so there is no reason for us to be panicking, more looking forward if anything.

We are shitting it, according to Keane and Neville.
I know it's ridiculous. In the same way that we were shitting it whenever the papers and the media who they are part of were constantly suggesting it was only matter of time before Kane swapped his Spurs shirt and headed for Old Trafford.

A Villa win would have been preferable. It would have left ManU 9 points behind with a much inferior GD meaning they’d have to win 4 games more than us to be sure of overtaking us. Villa on the other hand may have gone 2 points ahead us today but are losing steam. Their team, especially in midfield is tiring and still being in Europe is not going to help that. They are also very dependent on Watkins for goals.
Who cares about Utd seriously? Villa are a much bigger threat to us getting top 4 than they are.

Yeah I wonder why everyone has become so worried about Utd all of a sudden?

They had a pretty bad start to the season whilst we on fire, but then we hit a rough patch (for obvious reasons) so by as early as match 15 they were on the same points as us. After 20 matches the gap was up to 8 points. Now it’s 6.

In the last six matches, whilst they have apparently come into this great form, they have taken 13 points whilst we’ve taken 11. And one of those matches was us versus them at Old Trafford.

So they’re six points behind, are in apparently scintillating form but have only taken two points more than us in their last six including their home advantage when they played us. At that rate it will take them eighteen matches to make up the difference.

It was. Ange made the quip in an early post match interview, and Carragher repeated back to him a few weeks later. They were just having a laugh with each other and I think people are too sensitive.

People are too sensitive but stuff like that also influences peoples opinions.

So many cliches are repeated on here about the way we play under Ange, for example about other teams “figuring us out” (despite us winning most matches even with all the injuries and absences), or how defensively naive we are (despite us having comparable goals against stats to our top four rivals Villa and Utd, and conceding fewer goals than every other team in the league outside of the top 3).

You know I can see why it would annoy Ange because it’s just lazy and it gets repeated time and time again.

Ange made the quip in his interview as Neville had previously made the comment about 'copying Pep'. Carragher then repeated to Ange to embarrass Neville. All good fun.

Exactly, and Ange ended the interview saying he was off to watch some Man City clips.

Disagree not because I genuinely think United will overtake us, but because I think Villa will fall away and United will at least finish above them.

Villa's form since those big wins v City and Arse has been rotten and they now start playing in Europe again and I think Emery will go all out to win the ECL even if it is at the expense of some league points.
