How this lad doesn't get much of a look in for England is beyond me
We also have Foden and Grealish who can occupy his position. We have an abundance of attacking talent at our disposal when you add the wingers of Sterling (looks to be getting his confidence back), Rashford, Sancho, Saka all to compliment Kane.

If he plays like he has done this past 3 games, I'm not sure that literally any of those 6 players can hold a candle to him. Certainly none have thus far this season. Maybe only Foden even has it in his locker.

My point is there's plenty of competition, so if he isn't picked that isn't a slight on him.

It blows my mind how Ten Hag went into the market with a hard-on for Mount cause he is an 'excellent link player' and fluid across the top and completely disregarded Maddison.

He does EVERYTHING better than Mount.

I am surprised about how he seems to be everywhere. Very much a modern-day 10, can link play, press, drop deep to play in midfield, assist and gets into penalty area. Also tidy dribbler!!

But, Mount was playing deep though - not sure that is the ideal position for Maddison.

He is the perfect fit for what age wanted to do however...

It's going to be very hard to pick a player of the season at this rate.
Some great performances over these three games, from the new lads especially (I'm including Biss as new because, well, he got Conte'd last season).

Let’s recap: last year we got over run in midfield all the time.

This year our midfield looks as strong as any in the league.

I’ll take that!
And arguably one of our best midfielders will be a cherry on top once he returns and gets match fit.

Think Bentancur will also combine really well with Maddison.

Nice to actually have options and depth in this area.

He was playing deep for Chelsea?

I thought he was playing as like a false 10 who drifts.

Maddison is doing that but has so much extra in his locker.

If Ten Hag signed Mason cause he wants him to play deep then that is going to be a disaster

Think he's been underrated by all while playing for Leicester, but is also now playing at a level nobody saw there at the same time making the disparity even greater. Majestic today, and all over the pitch doing the same shit, taking the ball and never letting it go, beating men for absolute laughs as if it's no bother and progressing the ball. Ridiculous if he's not a central part of the national team if this continues.

To have both he and Bissouma be able to take the ball facing in any direction, take the right first touch to protect possession, and having the tekkers and the confidence to beat your man and drive forward is just sexual to watch. Does any other prem midfield have two of these players? When Lolo comes back we are truly spoiled. We've fallen into having an absolute world class selection of first XI midfielders.
Surprised you missed the chance to praise Levy, here- we haven’t ‘fallen’ into having those three, and Sarr. Credit where it’s due. See, it’s not just people who support Levy and people who don’t.

On the other hand, we’re a couple of good signings away from having what we also need at the back and up front. And having sold Kane we shouldn’t be.

If Maddison had a quality, mobile, deadly CF to aim at…

Incredible player, always disliked him when he was playing for Leicester but I'd probably say he's my favourite spurs player. Total class act

Echo the sentiments that always thought he was a good player but not top drawer which he clearly absolutely is. Just fits us perfectly, fabulous mentality and wow, what a player.

Absolutely loving Maddison in a Spurs shirt.

This guy got a lot of hate before he joined because of some Tweets he made as a teenager, yet he is clearly going to be an massive fan’s favourite 😀

Who knew, we do silly things when we’re young 🤷🏽‍♂️

You can tell he’s really enjoying the responsibility. I think that will only push his level of performances up.

I love having a manager who seems to play players to their strengths. With Bissouma and Sarr alongside him the system is built for Madison to shine. I thought he was a good player but he looks to be much better than that. After three years of not wanting to go to a Spurs game I am looking forward to going to the home game with Liverpool next month
