Wasnt sure where to put this but should we not consider Iheanacho from Leicester City? I watched Maddison highlights from Leicester last season and the two of them linked up well last season with Iheanacho assisting a few Maddison goals. Only 20m, he's still 26 and is actually homegrown.

Not sure how he is on the pressing front but in terms of quality and price (and taking your word for HG also) i think this is a decent shout, was surprised he hadnt already left for a better team, and would be surprised if the best he can do is wolves.

Though born in Nigeria, Iheanacho is regarded as a homegrown player by the English Football Association as he spent roughly three years at the Etihad Stadium before sealing a transfer to the Foxes in the summer of 2017.

That moment was perfect in so many ways, none more so than the fact it literally shut all of them up in a split second.

The fact you can hear a few of them laughing out loud means they appreciated the banter. Perfect from Maddison.
They loved it. You can hear one of them saying, "He's a good lad" at the end

Was made up when we signed him, knew he would be a game changer as watched him closely at Leicester. This guy should be No 2 on the team sheet for England, no excuse.
Kane + Maddison = Goals.
If Henderson, Mount, sterling et all gget picked ahead of Madders its a disgrace

I was wrong about Maddison. I didn't watch him much at Leicester and wasn't too fussed about signing him. He's a great player and seems to have matured a lot.

I was genuinely underwhelmed by his signing... thought he was ok in patches and a bit of a knob. But he is much, much better than I thought he was, and I love him. Proper footballer.

For me his technical ability has never been in doubt. And i thought the same about him being a knob as well, but he does seem to have matured a lot. He is obv a very intelligent thinker about the game

He was good at Leicester but he's gone up a couple of notches here. Early days but I think he'll go on to give us more than Eriksen and that's some accolade.

Got to be honest, I wasn’t 100% convinced he would be able to step up or if he wasn’t just going through a prolonged purple patch. Tbh I think I just remember him being a bit of a prick when he was younger and let that cloud my judgement. I was so very wrong and I’m so so happy I was. Beast of player. It’s going to be another of the great what if moments for me, much like when we almost had Hazard and Bale, in regards to how he and Kane would have done together. Anyway, already one of the most important players in the squad and can’t wait to see how he goes from here. I hope he becomes central to the England squad, clearly has the talent.
