I thought Gallagher had a strong season at Palace and i can see how the attributes he displayed there would offer a great foundation for a coach, who favours a high intensity game, to build on.
I cant really judge him at Chelsea last year because it seemed to be a disaster of a season for them all round.
What i am apprehensive about is breaching this 'dont deal with Chelsea' pact we seemed to have made a while back. Since the la liga clubs lost their financial pull the only recent threat of a big shark coming in and turning a players head seems to be Man City.
Bit worried a deal for Gallagher opens a pandoras box we may regret.

He has been this season. IMO has been City’s star player. Amazing what Pep has jas done with him.

hoping for similar transformations for some of our squad under Ange.
Whilst Stones was hugely improved, I have a sneaky feeling that the 6’7” blond Viking striker with a season for the ages was their star player. Just a hunch though.

Also hoping for a Stones level of improvement is hugely optimistic when a new coach comes in.

6'7? He's not Peter Crouch height. He's 6'3/6'4

This is the thing. We’ve already seen it with coaches. I think Gallagher moving here possibly takes some of the sting out of the optics of Kane moving the other way. I’m not saying it makes it ok or that Spurs fans wouldn’t be furious. But at the very least Kane would be able to point to the ebb and flow of high profile coaches and players between the two clubs. If moving there would be crossing a line it would be a line that has already been crossed multiple times in both directions.

This isn’t to say we shouldn’t sign Gallagher but it’s something to bear in mind.

Can't see kane wanting to go to Chelsea. No guarantee of anything there these days. They were a bigger shambles than us and no guarantee Poch will turn them around.

Yeah this is true. But things can turn very quickly in football. Chelsea in particular have had shambolic seasons in the past only to come back very strongly the following season. But I agree with you, as things stand now.

I don’t think he would but not for those reasons. They will offer stupid money and will keep spending til they win. Also with the exception of the last couple of seasons even in a bad year for them, which is probably anything below 4th, they always seem to win a cup some how and will most likely win another before us. But no, I don’t think he will go there because he’ll destroy his legacy here, also I’m sure I remember ITK saying he was pretty vocal in sacking Poch for Jose

I love this kid, amazing if we could get him. I’d even trade the prospect of getting one of the two CBS we need in to get him!

Don’t think Chels deal with us for him though, doesn’t hang together…

FWIW, I saw him play quite a bit for Charlton Athletic when he went there on loan as a teenager and he was head and shoulders the best player on the park most weeks. Was impressed by his loan spell at Palace and I actually think he's be excellent for Poch at Chelsea.

I'd be more than happy for him to come to Spurs but I just cant see Chelsea dealing with us.

Could be like our 'special relationship' with Real Madrid only this time we pick up a few gems and they get absolutely fuck all in return.

Yes but in previous times when this had happened there were never many doubts about their squad.

As it stands at the moment their squad is unproven and has gaping holes in the midfield. Also Silva aside, the squad has no experience or leadership.

Looking at their midfield, it would be madness for them to let Gallagher go this summer.

I keep seeing this come up on here time and time again, but I’ve not been able to find the evidence to it, can you or someone point me to the right place.

Unfortunately not mate 😂 Maybe I’m wrong but I’m 99.9% sure I’ve read it on here. Not saying he drove him out but I’m sure Kane had his say. Anyway no, I can’t back it up so I could be wrong

I remember it being said in a similar way. Again can't remember the specific quote

Chelsea aren't Abramovic and Arnesen anymore. I can see us dealing with the new regime if need be.

Nope, Chelsea need to shift players, they cant afford to be picky.

I can't see us forking out for this guy when we are struggling to sign a CB.

This sounds pretty ambitious for the money they will be asking.
